There is no way Ottawa has LAndeskog ahead of LArsson.

You know I won't cry if we get Larsson, but there's a real part of me that's enamored with Landeskog or RNH.

Bah, I won't cry if we get Landeksog but I will have that feeling in my stomach that we didn't get a game changer. Meh, just a gut feeling but at this point I would think Landeskog is no higher than 4th in our list.

I personally think the two most NHL ready players are Larsson and Couturier, in no order. They are the biggest, most physically mature of the lot. Saad is a big boy too.

Yeah, I'm starting to think that RNH is the guy.

I think Landeskog and Larsson are the most ready. I think Couturier is still too skinny and he doesn't move exceptionally fast to overcome it. He would be able to play, yeah, but on a very limited role.
Landeskog is fast and strong enough to play on a 3rd line and in front of the goalie on the PP.
RNH, IMO, can play as well as Karlsson did last year next year, because he's just too smart. Kinda like Patrick Kane. He has Spezza's hands and vision with way more mobility. Mobility as in quick first steps I mean.

Yeah, I'm starting to think that RNH is the guy.

He's been playing basically at a 2 PPG and close to a GPG rate in the last 25 games. At this point I think he goes 1st overall...

Nooooooooooooooooooo Freakout

I've decided that I want RNH on this team. Larsson and Landeskog look great, but I'd love to see the Nuge playing here.

I think he goes 1st as well, but someone's gonna take a massive gamble by not taking Larsson (meaning Edmonton) and I doubt they can afford that gamble personally.

I don't know. Maybe Edmonton goes with him, but I can't see them passing up the opportunity of getting that #1 Dman they've lacked since trading away Pronger. And then Colorado, with Centre depth in Duchene, Stastny, and O'Reilly as 1,2,3, they are pretty stacked down the middle. But with trading guys like Stewart and Wolski, and Mueller being an injury threat, Hejduk getting on in years, they could really use that big Winger. Landeskog would look great on that team.

Just the way I see things going down, if the standings stay the way they are.

I don't think any of the top 5 teams will draft by need, except maybe Edmonton, because Larsson and RNH are special talents and they both fill needs. Colorado won't care about getting a winger or center, they will take BPA, and so will the Sens.

1- EDM - Larsson (#1 D they desperately need)
2- COL - Landeskog (power forward winger to replace Stewart)
3- OTT - RNH (#2 centre we need, amazing talent)
4- NYI - Murphy or Hamilton (they need another offensive d-man besides Streit, they have some good forwards already)
5 - FLA - Couturier (Tallon pick, great position to draft him. BPA).

I feel confident in this list if the order ends up looking like this. Maybe NYI selects Couturier or Strome to fit behind Tavares, but I think they could use the offensive d-man more.

I'll pee in my pants when COL will take the stage, if that's the order.

You'll crap your pants if we have the third pick and RNH is available and this happens:

Gary Bettman: "We have a trade to announce! Ottawa trades the third overall pick..."

Take it with a grain of salt, if you haven't already.

I think all she did was take the revised CSB rankings and applied them to the current order based on position in the standings.

That said, while I love RNH scoring ability and tenacious style of play he is only 167 lbs. 6'0 167 at 18 scares me, you can only put so much weight on when your that type of body. Landgeskog on the other hand is already big, but he doesn't have the offensive ability that RNH has.

Then again, a friend pointed out that RNH didn't score much in the 1st half and he really took off in the 2nd half. Is he streaky, just got lucky? He had 65 points last year which is not bad, but it's no where near where he is this year. Is it that he's suddenly got it, or he's playing with better players making him look better?

Landeskog on the other hand had 44 last year and with missing 10 games this year he's at 66. The thing that makes me sway towards him is the people in Kitchener seem to think he's all that and a bag of doritos...and I love doritos.

The guy everyone is starting to talk about is Strome, but he's another guy who did barely anything last year and the year before, but suddenly he's scoring like crazy.
