Spoiler:
in the first episode of Game of Thrones Season 2 me and my wife were officially done with the show.

I just can't watch stuff like that anymore.

To be fair, you don't actually see the baby getting killed...and it's tied into an on-going storyline, so it's not entirely unnecessary to have "shown" it. In general, though, Game of Thrones has had some of the most graphic/intense scenes I've ever seen on a TV show.

Like the first season, I find that season 2 is beginning to drag on, but no doubt all the Dung is about to hit the fan again, building to a crazy finale.

We've had to change to watching it before supper rather than after. The only bad thing is there's no subtitles on Netflix for some stuff (including this) and you really need it (it's a BBC production, some fairly thick accents). Shows' not great but it's good. Apparently based on the same book that Terra Nova was based on (both deviated from book in different ways), but much better than Terra Nova (except maybe for some uneven creature effects).

Have you been able to watch any shows with subtitles on netflix, or just this show? cuz netflix definitely offers subtitles in the shows I watch

I freely admit I am just too sensitive for that kind of stuff given that I have a 9month old at home. Still it made me wonder why I watch the show. My wife accidentally read some spoilers from the books and that kind of killed it as well.

It's hit and miss. Started out with X-Files and those had subtitles. Watched a little Kolchak and that one didn't have subtitles. I *think* Battlestar Galactica (original) had them. Primeval, although it is a recent show, has no subtitles -- and it *needs* them.

Another thing about the subtitles, you can't set them up in your profile. You have to turn them on for every episode. Silly.

What he actually said was that the chances of him sticking around until they got their #&(^ together was about one out of a million.

By the way, I know it's the summer and all (1st day today, I hear) but one of my shows is back on. S2 of Suits aired Monday night (in Canada). Fun show.

The news about Carey and the D&D sequel is depressing.

Sons of Anarchy starts again sometime soon...another good show coming back.

Finished S1 of "Walking Dead" on Netflix last night. I've got to stop picking shows that don't have the all the seasons available (first Being Human, now this -- is downloading torrents still not illegal in Canada?). Very good, even though quite gruesome in parts.

You can download torrents to your heart's content and not hear diddly-squat from you internet provider. Legal enough for me!

I've finished the first two seasons of Breaking Bad. Wow.

My wife caved and scheduled a cable installation at my house. She says she'll pay for it which means I'll pay for it. Dammit!

Clearly. She did get an upgrade on our internet though and I'm back in with the high steppin' PVR crowd.

Well, if you enjoy the Summer Olympics at all, you might be happy to have cable and a PVR.

I sure do. I'm already thinking about hockey season too. Not sure what our channel selection is but I'll be sure to add whatever I need.
