What Am I Watching Right now? MAJOR BREAKING BAD SPOILERS IN HERE!

What? No-one's come on here to drool over how True Detective is the best ever, EVER? Downloaded the first two episode but haven't watched yet.

Expect 3-4 main characters to die in Season 4 lool.
Man, I am dying for the 6th book, you guys wait 1 year I've been waiting for 3 years now grr

Which books coincide with which seasons?

So far:

Season 1: Book 1
Season 2: Book 2:
Season 3: About 2/3 of Book 3
Season 4: Should be about last 1/3 of book 3 + a little bit of book 4 and 5 (book 4 and 5 happen at the exact same time but book 4 is in the South, King's Landing, the westerners etc, book 5 is the North and the East)

I've watched all True Detective episodes except for the last one. It is a really good show. Too early to tell how great it will be. Matthew McConaghay (however you spell that) is knocking it out of the park, but Woody Harrelson's character is a little too.....typical. And his mean face is overused and ridiculous.

True Detective is in the middle of its first season.

True Detective is in the middle of its first season.

I originally thought that it was just a one-season thing, but anyway there's been 6 episodes and there's only 8 this season.

Oh, the sex scene between Woody and the hot chick? That was pretty much the only sex scene so far......

So your wife won't object to seeing a naked dead body of a raped woman with crazy antlers put on her head, but she would object to a regular sex scene?

Depends on how gratuitous it is and how necessary. For instance, the little scene in the BSG miniseries where 6 snaps the little baby's neck (you don't see but you hear the snap and then the baby stops crying) really bothered her.

The nudity, well, we still have our 16-year-old who stays up too late and sometimes walks downstairs "to get a glass of water" or something. If he saw that scene we would never be able to get rid of him.

Maybe, maybe not. Not every 16 year old is the same. I can still monitor his habits a bit, and control things on the wireless router.
