Not yet, I'm still on season 3 of Lost, can't f-ing remember where I was and got frustrated. Have to get back to that.

I'm currently on the 3rd season of Dexter, but Boardwalk Empire just came in so...

Anyone watch the Alcatraz show?

I've watched Lost three times, now (re-watched it with my oldest in 2010, and second oldest this past Summer). I saw about half of the 1st episode of Alcatraz and was mildly interested. Problem is I did not record it, so I was watching it on ROD. Even though it is free, they still limit you to 24 hours, so unless you can watch it in one sitting, *and* you cannot resume and finish it before the 24 hours expire, you are forced to re-watch the parts you've already seen.

Confused?

The "VCR Functions" are disabled, so you cannot FFW. On some shows you could not eve REW. Let's say I start watching at 10PM and watch one hour. The following day I start watching at 9:45 and resume watching at the same location. Then 15 minutes later the 24 hours expire and I am kicked out. I can "order" it again (remember, this is free, so the 24 hour thing is stupid) but I will have to start at the beginning and I cannot FFW.

Aaargh! Thanks for giving me something free that sucks for shows longer than a half hour.

That sounds insane, even for Rogers. Canadian television technology is so far behind the curve, it's silly. If Bell and Rogers were as dedicated to improving their own service as they are to trying to squash online viewing services, they'd be infinitely better companies. Infinitely.

Internet rates *are* going up. My Express will go from 12Mbps to 18.

I'm not complaining about not having the VCR functions. It's free so I have to watch ads; I get it (my parents are on Videotron and I could not find a single free item in their OD stuff). But since it's fee, just change the 24 hours period to infinity.

Anyhow, what will probably happen is I'll d/l and watch it during the summer months.

This Sons of Anarchy sounds really cheesy. Somebody sell me on it.

If we have to sell you on it, that's too bad for you. That Dung should sell itself. It's GTA: The Lost and the Damned.

Watch the first few episodes. If you're not into it, don't continue. It is kinda cheesy, but it IS about a biker gang in small-town America. It's got a great cast.

I believe cable is going up as they added the ability to set your PVR using your smartphone, Bell has had this for a while I think. There's something else, probably adding more channels I will never watch.

Internet is going up as they upped the speeds and the caps on the higher end packages. Still ridiculous but Bell's are lower (and they lowered them again recently I think).

I pretty much stopped reading as soon as I saw the rates going up part, all they do is find ways to raise the price every year.

The Remote TV application (I use it on laptop but not a mobile device) is not something they could charge money to use. It's cool but way too unreliable.

Lost....man. How did I not watch that when it came out. Man. I feel empty now. The characters. The music. Man. I don't care if they didn't answer every single question - it was an unreal and moving show. Never been so emotional over a TV show. Crying

you know a show is amazing if you watch all 6 seasons in less than a month. Rockon
