Maybe we could sign him to provide some offence.

Can we blow this Cussing franchise up already?

I thought there were some positives last night, besides the fact we scored more than 1 goal

- Top 6 had more speed and energy, prolly since Loaferlev was out. Despite the loss CC should keep these lines next game.

- Our PP was pretty good.

- Carkner breaking Boogard's nose was awesome. Couldn't have happened to a nicer goon guy (goon).

- Foligno was a beast last night. If he played more like that every night he wouldn't be one of my least favorite Sens.

- Bobby B played well, killer one timer attempt, he was looking dangerous out there at times. He probably needs more time in the AHL still but I think he's a keeper so far.

Negatives:

- Elliott stunk big time, he didn't look comfortable in nets at all to me. I think he singlehandedly lost it for us.

- Bad fall by Gonchar, he had 5 SOG so I don't pin this too much on him

- Carkner taking a bad penalty and spraying blood (if true) not awesome

- horrible charging penalty by Neil, horrible

Hopefully they can play like this against NJ.

When they showed the replay in the telecast it just looked like he was making a chirping motion with his hand, not flicking. At least not purposefully.

I don't like to say this because the goalies have been quite good for the most part but Elliott absolutely cost us that game. 1 goal was highly questionable and 1 other just should not go in. I think they reviewed it because they were in shock that a puck could get in the net in that way and it must have slipped under the net or through the mesh or something. Laughing3

The Sens got chances and the top six was buzzing. Sure there were some negatives like the string of penalties but I believe they would win more games than not playing the way they did last night coupled with competent goal-tending.

I just watched it. He wiped his forehead, flicked, wiped again and flicked again. If he wasn't intentionally flicking blood, then he was intentionally flicking sweat. Since his head was split open right where his hand went (up to the trough) twice, I'm gonna go with the former.

Not great. Facepalm

Pierre Cussing McGuire as GM? Are you Cussing kidding? Do you want this team to become the laughing stock of the league that we're often already painted as anyway?

I've crapped turds that command more respect than that guy.

Seriously.

I'll never be able to look at him without seeing Dana Carvey in his turtle disguise. Never ever.

Funny how such a forgettable movie is just burned in your brain. My kids still think it's funny when I do my "Turtle, turtle" impression.

more to come...

Speaking of turtles and non-sequiturs - My daughter loves the book Yertle the Turtle and she has her favourite page memorized.

"Turtles more turtles he bellowed and brayed..."

It goes on from there but, I'll save the rest for another day perhaps.

LOL I know, I'm not 100% serious, but sometimes guys who you think would be terrible at a job turn out to be great...I think he's well respected throughout the league. Being a douche on TV does not necessairly mean that we would be bad at a serious job like GM. He has ties to this team and you can't deny that he knows his stuff.

What about Bob McKenzie? That would be a funny signing...I wonder if anybody has ever asked him to be a part of their team before.

Bob McKenzie has turned down tons of scouting jobs over the years, so I'm thinking he's comfortable with what he's doing.

P.S What's the infatuation with hiring media people to run the franchise? How about we get a respected hockey guy, I feel like that could be a half decent idea too...
