But ya, expect MacFarland to be drafted number 31 tomorrow. That seems like a perfect fit for Edmonton. Ill take bets.

And here's "potentially" the Sens Blue line in a few years:

Poormen's of:

Chara - Niedermayer
Lidstrom - Zubov

And the size:
6'5 - 6'0
6'4 - 6'2

Okay, I got the impression you just didn't like him. I understand what you're saying, MPS seems logical with our team's prospects the way they are, I just couldn't imagine passing up on Cowen. We'd have regretted it for a long time I think (I could be wrong).

With the creativity/bordering on risky elements to both Karlsson's and Rundblad's game, having a guy like Cowen there is extremely valuable. Not to mention he's a leader and a winner.

As they mature, EK and DR should become a little more safe in their play and Cowen's offence should emerge. Coupled with Wiercioch's two-way upside and Gryba's nastiness, it's just a really nice mix, especially with EK being the only guy sub-6'0" - and I'm not sure he still is.

There are a lot of good future bluelines out there (like the Coyotes'; wow!) but this has the potential to be one of the best. And your defence is perhaps the most important part of your team in the "new" NHL.

So now that with have 2 posterboys on the blueline, may be the female fanbase won't cry too much when we trade Fisher 2010 NHL Draft - Page 18 159628

And the thing with D is, it's almost always easier to trade strength on D to get forward help than the other way around.

So, who was the Forward that Murray wanted that wasn't available prompting him to make the trade?

Skinner, Burm, Schwartz, Granlund...could've been any one of them. Probably Schwartz, though, considering the others were a rated higher going in.

It'll be on the NHL Network channel. 418 on Rogers, I believe.

That's what happens when you draft for needs (MDZ, SANguinetti, Gilroy being all offensive).
They didn't even try to trade down. What a joke of an organization.

I found this post in regards to Volchie. Take it with a grain of salt.
