Okay, I got the impression you just didn't like him. I understand what you're saying, MPS seems logical with our team's prospects the way they are, I just couldn't imagine passing up on Cowen. We'd have regretted it for a long time I think (I could be wrong).

With the creativity/bordering on risky elements to both Karlsson's and Rundblad's game, having a guy like Cowen there is extremely valuable. Not to mention he's a leader and a winner.
As they mature, EK and DR should become a little more safe in their play and Cowen's offence should emerge. Coupled with Wiercioch's two-way upside and Gryba's nastiness, it's just a really nice mix, especially with EK being the only guy sub-6'0" - and I'm not sure he still is.
There are a lot of good future bluelines out there (like the Coyotes'; wow!) but this has the potential to be one of the best. And your defence is perhaps the most important part of your team in the "new" NHL.
especially after drafting hall it would come as no surprise.N4L wrote:But ya, expect MacFarland to be drafted number 31 tomorrow. That seems like a perfect fit for Edmonton. Ill take bets.
