Kid's huge. 6'4" and 195 lbs and he's still 18. This kid's gonna be an animal when he's 23, 24.

At worst you got your 3rd line, shut down center IMO. That's a very solid pick that could be in the system a lot sooner then a lot of other guys that play in Sweden and The NCAA. I dont know a whole lot about the guy but his big knock is inconsistancy... a 17 year old playing from another country playing against Canadians that are 19 and 20 who have been drafted that inconsistant, noooooooo.

Might have gotten that 2nd line center people have been crying about.

JP Anderson still available. Good goalie, would be a very good pick up.

I agree with that but I would say they have to take Pulkkinen if he's still there. Could be a steal as well.

We've been talking for years about kids who would be something in 5-6 years. So what do we have? Eaves -- gone; Vermette -- gone; Meszaros -- gone; Bochenski -- gone; Muckler's Russians -- gone; Lee -- still here but we'd rather he was gone. What's left? Not much. Foligno, Regin may be top-six but that's about it.

Sure hope you're right.

Nice production and scouted as a sound two-way player. Looks good. Some sites have him listed as a winger, others have him at C.

Washington could be in real good shape, I'm a fan of what they've done so far. I would still call Florida the big draft winners so far, but WAS is right up there.

For sure but it's tough to keep players there, that's the problem. Also, they dont really have the system put in place to develope players like The Hawks did.

Big Culek fan I don't know, but Pulkinen, Galiev and Culek are the only guys left I know something about, and I can say he has the hockey sense and he's big.

I'm a big fan of Tallon. He's quite a character too from the interviews I've heard.

I'm quite impressed with his dimensions and numbers for sure.

Columbus just got a steal in Archibald, imo.

It's about time after they reached a bit on their two previous picks (although I really like the guys they ended up with).

And it's a little embarassing that we haven't added that 3rd rounder yet for Volchenkov. Don't you think?

Like I've been saying for forever: why would anyone trade an asset for him when he's only going one place?

Why do people think Volchenkov is such an important free agent that he warrants that kind of return just for negotiating rights? This guy is a dud without Chris Phillips whether people want to believe it or not.
