Thank NYR, they manage to screw up the un-screw up-able... Diddle it, that works. People complain about Murray, haha, WOW, he has nothing on Sather.

Sather and his scouting staff of monkeys. They most know something HUGE about this guy and didn't want to miss out on him, what can you say. It's a head scratcher, but they must feel comfortable.

Have you seen who NYR has drafted in the last 10 years?

Times are different, they would have access to so much more info. It's baffling, but they must really like him.

Diddle man, I'd be so pissed if I was a Rangers fan. Whew.

Pretty sure now FOrsberg and the rest of the scouting staff had RUndblad top 10-12 last year

Absolutely. I bet you it was top 10 to be honest.

Ill be2010 NHL Draft - Page 17 78488 but now I really wish we had gone with MPS last year since this year was a crapshoot for forward prospects.

Again, I think you underestimate how good Cowen is, I really do.

Or you don't like him maybe? :crossarms:

If Cowen turns into 1/2 of what he could be, he's a top 4 D man. There is no pressure on Cowen to get to The NHL at a pace he or The Sens are not comfortable with and they could mold him into a primier shutdown D man on a blueline that might be the best in The NHL for a loooooooooong time.

I like him, never said I didn't. But with trading for Rundblad now, our D is even more solid but we are still missing that great forward prospect...with Cowen out and MPS in, I think it doesn't hurt the D too much and our forward depth is better.

Agreed, but we probably all said this about our D 5-6 years ago too.

And it was, probably still would be if Muckler didnt piss it all away.

Defense wins championships and no one can touch Ottawa in The East, no one.

We really need to re-name Scotiabank Place to Ikea Ice Palace, or something like that, with all these Swedes we have.

Okay, I got the impression you just didn't like him. I understand what you're saying, MPS seems logical with our team's prospects the way they are, I just couldn't imagine passing up on Cowen. We'd have regretted it for a long time I think (I could be wrong).

If Foresberg passed on him there is a reason why he did so.

But ya, expect MacFarland to be drafted number 31 tomorrow. That seems like a perfect fit for Edmonton. Ill take bets.

And here's "potentially" the Sens Blue line in a few years:

Poormen's of:

Chara - Niedermayer
Lidstrom - Zubov

And the size:
6'5 - 6'0
6'4 - 6'2
