Sather and his scouting staff of monkeys. They most know something HUGE about this guy and didn't want to miss out on him, what can you say. It's a head scratcher, but they must feel comfortable.

Again, I think you underestimate how good Cowen is, I really do.

There is no pressure on Cowen to get to The NHL at a pace he or The Sens are not comfortable with and they could mold him into a primier shutdown D man on a blueline that might be the best in The NHL for a loooooooooong time.
