Murray did say he wants another puck mover ....

He was quite Duncan Keith-ish in Florida - where there's no pressure though. Hmmm... Ohnoes!

Look at that mess of a Calgary team. Iginila is being questioned too so take what J Bo did there with a grain of salt. I think that deal is about as close in value as u can get and favours Ottawa.

brassard voracek and russell or change one for filitov kinda thing

Brassard, Voracek and Russell? Thinking Intriguing.

I would take that deal of the other one no problem, haha, and I liked the other deal. If that's what Ottawa actually gets back, Jesus... Ottawa adds a potential number 1 center and winger along with a potential 40-50 point D man. Get that doooooone.

I will admit to J-Bo being an amazing skater and having some presence on the back end, but remember, this is a soft D-man. Think Kuba, but a little taller.

No one's brought up the possibility of Spezza being moved for Brassard and let's say the 4th overall, then Murray re-signing Volchenkov the next day to que fan reaction.

Little taller, little faster, litte more tallented.

Anyways, it's Backlund I would be excitted about. That guy has legit number 1 written all over him. That's a trade that is very, very close to being dead even, even if people dont like J Bo all that much, which I get.

Voracek is siiiiiiiiiiiiiiick. I would be shocked if the Jackets dealt him.

I must say, while I'm not a huge proponent of dealing Spezza, I'm at least relieved in regards to the names being mentioned. Unless, of course, BDP is forgetting to tell us that the Sens are also parting with Karlsson and Regin.

EDIT: Actually, unless there's another major piece on Ottawa's side that deal is too good to be true. I'm going to guess that he knows Columbus is interested but he's just speculating about the return.

It isnt even close though in terms of what deals should be taken. I would assume Lee would be going back with Spezza though.

Man, if The Sens actually added Voracek and Brassard, The Sens are set up for a looooong time. The core of the team new Sens would literally be no older then 25, any of them. Add in the vets like Cullen, Alfi, Fisher, Kelly, so on... you might actually end up getting a serious UFA with that much tallent surrounding them.

Much, much faster. But he is soft. I'd guess that if the deal were to happen, he'd be the Sens' new whipping boy, but history would suggest that he'd look good playing with Phillips.

I don't know that Backlund is a #1C in the making, but he's definitely a very nice player. Regin-esque.

Is Columbus that desperate for a play maker for Nash though? I mean, they absolutely need to get him someone and with the way Chicago, St.Louis, Detroit, and Nashville all look, waiting for their team to develope while Nash just kind of does his thing is a big risk. It may very well be too good to be true, but if it happens, maaaaaaan... Murray should be given all the credit in the world.

I would say he is much more of a play maker then Regin, but I think he could be a number 1 center, if not a tremendous number 2. J bo was a beast in The East and despite being a little soft is a very good player. Until this year he was a regular on any team Canada team and was the last player left off that sqaud.

If either of those deals went down, I think Murray made the best of what he had.

Weiss was drafted by Murray. I would look into that considering Murray's history.

The inevitable question has to be asked: as a lefty, does Bouwmeester play the right side?

Not sure but seeing how the dude skates, I'm pretty sure he can even play RW.

Here's his latest:

backdoorpass wrote:for sure i understand but i posted that before i was fuly aware....so i can say for sure that its going to be 2 of the 4 with rj coming back then they would like to give them lee if they also take shannon ....but for me a team that hasnt came in to question yet is phx i look for them to make a pitch with wolski yandle but they arent sure about owner ship

my order of teams chances are
cbl
cgy
edm
phx -with a chance of them jumping ahead all

So two of the four, with Umberger as well.

I guess Umberger, Filatov and Russell sounds most realistic/most like Murray. It's note quite Brassard, Voracek and Russell, though. Dammit!

Sounds liek for sure he is going out West though... It will be interesting to see what exactly happens with Spezza in that conferance. No way he gets anywhere near 100 points though.
