Yep.
POLL: Zbynek Michalek or Anton Volchenkov

Afiniganov has an amazing year. 4 million bare minimum a year.

he liked it here andwould probably take a discount for longuer term. as for cullen he's looking for a 3-4 year contract but i heard he might take a pay cut with a longuer term(was it TSN?) so 4 x 2.7? (2.5? )
in any case i doubt volchie or michalek are here next year, volchie is looking for 5mill, way to high.
what is regin going to get next year?
I like your enthusiasm, I really do.
The problem is sometimes that dudes who are pending UFAs really have this opportunity to cash in. And we might all like to say Player X should take a discount to stay here - or Player X played so well here, why wouldn't he stay! But the reality is, Sutton is coming off a most impressive playoffs - and teams all know about him. He'll get a raise, probably in the 3.25-3.4 million range X 4 years.
Sutton needs to cash in as well. He'll need a 3 X 3 to even contemplate staying.
That's my opinion.

Maybe in Russia.

SpezDispenser wrote:N4L wrote:Maybe in Russia.
He's going to Russia? Why would he do that when he just did what he set out to do: take a small contract to get his name out of the gutter? 61 points, 20 some-odd goals and a threat every time he was on the ice. He'll get paid by the Thrashers.

No one is giving him 4 million a year, with his track record I say 1.5-2 mill tops.
that's a little long. i think 3 TOPS 4 years.SpezDispenser wrote:Flo The Action wrote:

I read that too somewhere, but I think he means that instead of 3.5-4 for a short deal, he'll take 3.3 for a longer deal. That's what I think he's going for. Maybe we can get him on a 3 million cap hit X 5 years? Long term, but such a useful player that even when he gets to 39, he'll still do good things.
