:^^^^: What a devastating mistake by those two nerd rookies - especially Tavares, he's lucky he's not eating through a tube.

They were both vintage A-Train. Wow, I'm happy he plays on this team.

I would still prefer to see them sitting on the bench *watching* the top line.

Haha, so true. We've lost a couple of goals that way because it's A-Train coming in from the point with his shot instead of Karlsson for example. But, I'm not gonna complain - A-Train and BigRig are playing great hockey right now. Ahhhhh!

So spread the wealth, then. Split them up.

We've got a greate goalie, let him make a few more saves. That Okposo goal probably doesn't happen if it's another defender there, who doesn't think he needs to block everything. Honestly, a shot from that angle, with the pass taken away (Spezza standing in the way), and a competent goalie, means the shot doesn't need to be blocked.

Sorry, I don't want to discourage A-Train from blocking shots, but perhaps standing him up would have been a better play. It's not really that Okposo made a great move, but he made the move a split second after A-Train tried going down on one knee to block the shot. He couldn't move laterally quickly enough after that.

I'm a little afraid that other players pick up on that. Could be a weakness to exploit -- fake the shot, wait till he goes down to block it, then go around him.

I maintain that that goal was a bit of a fluke. Okposo tried to take the shot originally and whiffed. Leclaire, at that moment was in perfect position and committed. Okposo got another chance because he whiffed the first one. That gave him the open side of the net.

Fluke.
