which they don't want to part with. basicaly, dallas is in the same situation more or less then us. they have some crappy players they are more then willing to part with but that no one wants. you want brunstrom? cuz we're not getting ribero, morrow, ericksson, neil, benn, robidas... maybe you want lethinen? i don't...

That they do. The question is are they really in a period of spending restraint or is that just a rumour.
if it is true, i could picture them parting with richards. but then again, we'd have to part with enough ourselves(handicaping our drafting capabilities and possibly parting with one of our young D prospect... do we wan't that? i think not.

Will they be sold in the summer? If not then I can see Richards being on the market, to which I say: Foligno, Lee, 2nd? That's probably not enough...sigh...I don't wanna give anything else.

Foligno's the good prospect. People are really down on him, guarantee he scores 20 next year if he's healthy. That might work, Foligno, Lee, 1st. Ouch, I hate giving the 1st, hate, hate, hate it.

The thought behind this would be that Spezza would be traded I imagine and that in July we extend Richards to a 6 million X 6 year contract.

who is to say we can send Cheechoo the other way.. especially if it's going to save them a lot of cash.

Kuba and Foligno, nothing else. If they want more, they can keep him.

Let's hope Murray has the vision to pay whatever it takes to improve the team.

Someone that is friends with Turco at my office suggested we sign him. Laughing3 Wow, could you imagine? He would be the second coming of Martin Gerber for sure.

As long as he doesn't go after a LW, we're in good shape.

I would 99.9% guarantee it, yeah. However...he can stick handle better than 5 of our 6 D-men.

It would be a disaster. Maybe as a D-man sure. Why not?

For a split second I thought of that, then dismissed it. GAME 4 - 2010 Stanley Cup GAME DAY: Ottawa Senators (1) @ Pittsburgh Penguins (2), Tuesday Apr. 20, 2010 - 7:00PM EST. - Page 58 270956

richards(resigned) replacing spezza at that price(with the return we could et for spezza) is flat out the best senario possible. FingersCrossed
will it happen? Drums no.

I guess with Michalek and Regin playing LW that will no longer be on the shopping list. Maybe a legitmate Top 2 Center that might bump Spezza down to #2 or, at the very least, insulate Spezza by being a threat to produce? I don't know anymore. For now, I'd get a LW who can put up 30+ goals and put Regin as the 2nd line center. Get the Diddle onto the 3rd line Fisher, you're a 3rd line center, don't you realize that? OR, you're a 2nd line winger, but you have to choose.

We'd run him out of town in the first month. He's slowly losing his ability to tend goal, we need him like we need a bullet to the brain.

Besides, some dumb GM will give him 4 million. Watch.

Now...Z.Michalek = yes please, but he'll be looking for big $$ too.

I'd do turco at 2m and nothing more. His experience would be a great asset to develop Elliott and he can step in at a moments notice. That being said there are teams looking to improve in the net and I think he will end up being a starter somewhere.
