I almost guarantee it. I think it was his first choice well before the playoffs. Why would he move? He's a major part of a young, dynamic, exciting team.

We'd run him out of town in the first month. He's slowly losing his ability to tend goal, we need him like we need a bullet to the brain.

Besides, some dumb GM will give him 4 million. Watch.

Now...Z.Michalek = yes please, but he'll be looking for big $$ too.

Sadly, a nice playoff run for Phoenix will likely entice Michalek to stay put.

how close is he to his brother?

They curse Clowe over there in SJ. Overpaid is a word I've seen connected to his name a lot of time.

still rather have him than cheechoo.

52 points last year. 57 this year.. makes 3.6M I'll take that.

I'd actually prefer nothing to Cheechoo. I'd prefer a young turd dressed in a tiny Ottawa jersey over Cheechoo. At least the little turd could skate and create some chances.

Hell, find me the crappiest player in the league and I'll take him. Ryan Hollweg, I'll take him over Cheechoo so that I can waive him and not feel badly about him playing the entire year next year in Bingo.

I take it you are not a fan of Cheechoo.

i doubt we get a top 3 forward via FA. it's gonna have to be thru trades.

I don't hate him or anything, but 3 million dollars in cap hit for 14 points makes me want to ralph. And it's on the books next year unless we waive him again or buy him out - which is still 1 million dollars in cap hit for nothing X 2 years. Blah...

HA! foligno is at best gonna make us advance in the 1st round of drafts or fetch a 2nd rounder. both of which i'm perfectly happy with.
foligno with someone else might get us something else. like foligno, kuba and our 1st. could possibly get us brad richards.... if they want to part with him.
i'm also interested in seing if philly might be interested in parting with one of their top 6 forward.... they are cash strap and unless they win the cup this year Laughing3 , are gonna be looking for a goaltender(turco?, price?) i doubt they want leclaire but, i'm not entirely sure there's no trades to be made there.

We don't have many desirable pieces, it's gonna be really tough. I'd have to think long and hard about it - and even then it would be tough to come up with a scoring winger who is still in his late 20s, who can score consistently.

It's a tough summer for Murray. I'm sure he didn't expect a flame out like we've seen.

That they do. The question is are they really in a period of spending restraint or is that just a rumour.

which they don't want to part with. basicaly, dallas is in the same situation more or less then us. they have some crappy players they are more then willing to part with but that no one wants. you want brunstrom? cuz we're not getting ribero, morrow, ericksson, neil, benn, robidas... maybe you want lethinen? i don't...

if it is true, i could picture them parting with richards. but then again, we'd have to part with enough ourselves(handicaping our drafting capabilities and possibly parting with one of our young D prospect... do we wan't that? i think not.

Will they be sold in the summer? If not then I can see Richards being on the market, to which I say: Foligno, Lee, 2nd? That's probably not enough...sigh...I don't wanna give anything else.
