Wow, what a dismantling of the Hawks. Vancouver has it all.

I've always thought he was the better goalie and I couldn't believe a team offered him an offer sheet last two years ago. I said Ottawa should have done so, even if it meant Montreal matching and being forced to pay more than $750/year.

If I had the time and energy, I would go back to the post where I suggested Ottawa throw an offer sheet at Halak.

Wasnt the right move then, isnt the right move now. No point in throwing a division rival a grenade because there would be one coming back at ya at some point.
As for what DD said about Foligno, I dont see any place for Foligno in the lineup is Cullen is resigned. He didnt have a good season, he is a RFA with no arbitration rights and I doubt he gets much more then the required raise.
Based what on Murray said it looks like he will make a run at Campbell as well. His salary is big but he could also be had for nothing and in all honesty, a player like him in The East will be a lot more effective then in The West.
Kuba, Foligno for Campbell and Chicago's 1st.

As far as Price vs Halak, I still think Price will be better given the opprtunity out of the Montreal spotlight and a bit more seasoning. There's no question Halak is better now (heck he's a top 10 tender right now) but I still trust in Price's potential long-term.

THe way Halak is performing, You don't even need more than that and he's been performing like that 2 years in a row now.
Price could become a better goaltender one day, well may be, but I don't see how he can do more than what Halak is doing, and it's not even a sure thing.
Baring a huge trade, tHeir cap space won't allow them to keep both, so why trade Halak, the sure thing now and for the future?
