Penguins absolutely fit the need for him, but the problem is he has to go through waivers (I think we talked about this before on the site). He had expressed interest in Edmonton because they were the last team that offered him a contract, but regardless, when he signs he has to go through waivers apparently and any team can pick him up.

Kaberle has agreed to waive his NTC, speculates Andy Strickland. That's one big fish for some team to land.

I would LOVE Kaberle. He would instantly make our power play problems go away.

There's no wrong with our powerplay. With Spezza in the lineup it's 9th in the league, plus the addition of Cullen will help the 2nd unit. With Cullen, Alfie, Shannon, Kuba, Karlsson and Campoli all capable of playing the point we should be fine.

Maybe that was it. Regardless, I think we've filled the need of PP specialist with Cullen already, and the fact we have some of the better PP players in the game.

I still think we should get a D, but the PP problems are overblown.

We're not going anywhere in the playoffs with Fisher, Cullen, Regin and Kelly up the middle. That's what happens.
