By the by, is Ehrhoff for two pieces of Dung, officially the worst trade of the year now, or do we still have to wait it out? Gag

I think Vancouver makes out like bandits there to be honest.

Vancouver is going to pick up another defenseman? Don't they have like 100 already?

I don't think it'll happen, but if it does happen straight up Vancouver wins.

Not a lot of teams that are going to be able to take on Richards' ginormous contract. Maybe the Habs have given up on getting Lecavalier and are gonna go for the next best thing?

Boy, I hope not. Richards would be their best player in the last decade.

There's no way they can roll with Richards and Gomez as their top 2 centers. They barely have the cap space to sign Plekanec let alone Richards ginormous salary.

You'd think the Rags would be players for Richards though.

You have my attention; How? Really how could we take on Richards?. You have a taker for Spezza?

Loaded question to ask SSF, but it's Kelly's contract out that would almost perfectly equal Richards coming in.

Lots of ways. We could even have Spezza and Richards, potentially.

Only for this season though. Next year we'd be screwed cap wise.

I challenge that it could be made to work, it might not be the smartest way of going about things, but I would have to look at numbers.

We need Kelly. He kills penalties. No one else can do that.

Of course it could work, but it would mean trading away important members of our team. Something based around Kovalev + Fisher or Kovalev + Kelly or Kelly + Fisher would work cap wise. Still and idiotic trade to make for a glorified 2nd line center.

I would gladly take their glorified 2nd line centre over our current glorified second line centre. TRADE DEADLINE BONANZA! - Page 6 159628

Well, I know who that comment is aimed towards <>. Actually, both you and ASQ have made a strong case in response to my "trade Foligno before Kelly" comment. I'm starting to reconsider my position on that one ...

I would however be reluctant to do a blockbuster trade involving many players to get Richards. I think that this team has swagger and that they can do some damage; I'd tread carefully in terms of player movements at this time.

Boy, I hope not. Richards would be their best forward in the last decade.

Markov's a pretty supreme talent man.
