Not a lot of teams that are going to be able to take on Richards' ginormous contract. Maybe the Habs have given up on getting Lecavalier and are gonna go for the next best thing?

There's no way they can roll with Richards and Gomez as their top 2 centers. They barely have the cap space to sign Plekanec let alone Richards ginormous salary.
You'd think the Rags would be players for Richards though.

I would however be reluctant to do a blockbuster trade involving many players to get Richards. I think that this team has swagger and that they can do some damage; I'd tread carefully in terms of player movements at this time.
