Even ignoring his goal, that was an awesome first period for Kovalev. He was like Shannon (but with his skill) out there.

It still feels like our offensive mojo weighs 175 lbs, though.

I can't believe how important to the team he already is. Imagine what he's going to do when he develops and matures and starts figuring out how to play D and put up points on the board. Mike Green's numbers with better skating and positioning on the defensive side.
