Don't forget they started the streak with their #1 out, and now their #2 is out as well. We may have started our streak that way but at least we got our backup back two games in.

LOL I thought I've seen enough of Cherry's ridiculous suits but this tops them all.

Don't diss The Don. He loves Canada and hockey, and I can forgive him his allegiance to the Leafs (they all can't be like Dick Irving Jr. in hiding their bias).

Where did you see Cherry, anyway? My day started early and hasn't slowed down enough -- did CBC already start? I read he was in Stratford yesterday and they recorded some of it. Was that it?

It started at noon with McLane and Don Cherry talking Howie Morenz, in a house that looked like an old castle (in Stratford I think)
Cherry was dressed like Henri VIII, with the huge royal dress, crown etc. He was practically 3 feet wide

I'm as conservative as the town I live in, but for some reason I don't mind Cherry and all his excesses. Maybe because I know it's all show, and that at the heart of it all is a damn proud Canadian and loves hockey. He knows more about Canadian history than is ever taught in school (Lowell Green is another one) and, like I said already, I can forgive him his pro-Leaf ways. He loses me a little when he starts talking about "soft Europeans". McLean should keep reminding him about Volchenkov and Alfredsson, just to name two. Half of Detroit's Euros are tougher than most players in the league. Forsberg must have had his spleen ruptured from a corss-check and nobody knew about it until the guy fell overn after the game.
