Eric can handle it, he's a good kid. Not sure how Therese will take it, though. Senators send Karlsson To Bingo - Page 10 270956

I didn't read her blog (it was taken down before I had the, umm, pleasure) but according to comments about it on HFBoards she did get a charge out of it. One of the comments was that she had more pictures of things she'd bought than actual people.

Maybe that's why Karlsson was so pissed... he won't be able to afford her shopping habits on his two-way salary when he gets sent down.

If anyone is curious about her blog, here's a PDF of a translated version from Google's cache:

She seems to be living the fantasy life. Should we be worried?

You also have Kovalev and Cheechoo coming off the cap next year and thats a combined 8 mil right there. Campbell will absolutely make the team more dangerous offensivly then those 2.

Brutal, when Kovy was signed you professed that he was good for a t least 60 points, now ten games into the season a $7M d-man would be a better choice.

Kovalev signed a two year deal, he isn't coming off the books until after next year.

Unbelievable how fickle the fans are on this site!

To echo Hemlock's sentiment -- no pictures, no use. I'd already posted the links to the translation of the google cache. The pictures are the only thing missing. I guess all we have left is Ruutu's pooch.

Who's fickle? Neely meant *after* next year and he's just discussing logistics -- how to accommodate a $7M+ salary. He's on record here many times that he's still OK with Kovalev -- he's pretty much as advertised, and he will start producing just as we all know Spezza will get his goals.

People talking about trading Cheechoo already ? Give the guy a chance ! Senators send Karlsson To Bingo - Page 10 54934

In any case no one will take him unless he impresses this year. We're stuck with him til he's a UFA.

Nobody will want him in a trade unless it's to offset another bad contract. I don't think anyone wanted Cheechoo here and realized it was just part of the cost at getting Michalek. From day one, I don't think anyone here would have objected to trading Cheechoo, if a trade was possible.

Ya, because this comment wasnt taken out of context at all. A true offesnsive D man who puts up 50 points every year isnt a good thing, you're right.

As for Kovalev coming off the books, I saiiiid, NEXXXXT YEAAAR, with Checchoo. Just looking for a fight today bud? Senators send Karlsson To Bingo - Page 10 Icon_wink

Ive been defending Cheechoo and his play all year but if you're adding Campbell that's the contract will be dealt with one or two others, that's all.

He has a more digestible deal than Soupy. These discussions are not always about "getting rid" of players as much as they are about acquiring a player.

Who better to show Karlsson how to excel at being a small, offensive defenseman in the NHL than Soupy, by the way?

I think it would be a good move.
