If they aren't keeping Gryba I hope the trade him ASAP. Trade his RFA rights to a team for a vet d-man or whatever piece you need.

Why would we not sign Gryba again though? That's reserved for busted prospects like Sorensen, it's not like Gryba sucks or anything, I've heard good reports out of Bingo. We'll sign him.

Pat Cannone has signed with the Sens. 2 years, 2-way, 625K average cap hit.

Good stuff, he has nice potential IMO.

#Sens re-sign pending RFA Pat Cannone for two years. Rookie forward was #BSens' third-leading scorer with 43 points (19G-24A) in 76 games.

Actually not sure where he fits in the B-Sens lineup. Also probably spells a long year for Caprousso in the ECHL. Cannone was excellent year before last - and while he registered 43 points last year, I thought he'd have more.

This season will be very interesting to see how he progresses as a prospect - albeit a minor one.

Sure he is, just because you don't think so doesn't mean he isn't. You don't think a team with an organizational need for a young defenceman with professional experience might trade a 7th rnd pick for him? He's better than a 7th round pick out of the CHL, Europe or one that is going to NCAA for years. He's a developed player.

RFA, so if you are wrong about that, I guess you are wrong about a lot of other things. Trade one superfluous piece for an organizational need. Young d-man for old d-man, forward, goalie ,pick, etc.

Of course Gryba is worth something in a trade. Why wouldn't he be? And why the heck are some writing him off?

No one is writting Gryba off but to say he's worth anything in a trade is just dumb. Klinkhammer was worth a 7th if he played 5 games in the NHL... Gryba isn't worth much more than that, lol.

Sure, Gryba might be worth a conditional 7th round pick in a trade. I'll give you guys that.

First off, he will probably be re-signed. Would be dumb not to keep him around. Depth is huge. When the Sens take players from Bingo, or players are injured, you need to have depth for your AHL team to keep them alive. I have to think part of Bingo's poor season this past year was the pillaging they took at the hands of the Sens.

Second, if they don't keep him around, you can be sure they will try to swing a deal with a team for a spare part. As I said, there will be teams needing a C, LW, RW, LD, RD, G, etc. and they will swap one for another they need help with.

I know he's an RFA. But if the Sens don't qualify him, he will be a UFA, thus other teams will have the chance to sign him for free later on. If the Sens don't want him, I'm not going to trade for him and give up something on my end. He's not a guy that a team would want to obtain the rights for to have a signing period of two weeks before other teams get to (like Bouwmeester).

If they want to have more experience on the blue line, they will have to let somebody go or move somebody down. Honestly, they never talk about Gryba so that's why I'm feeling that he may be let go.

They'll sign Gryba, I'd bet on it ()

I don't have a lot of question tht Gryba will be resigned, just saying he isn't worth anything in a trade.

What an odd statement. Here's a 23 year old, Big hitting defenseman who is under team control and took strides this year in positioning and skating. He's not worth much, but he's worth the forward equivalent - like a Linus omak etc.

Bottom line, he has value imo, maybe not much, but he does.

Clouston won't be back in Brandon next season. He has 1 year left on his deal. How about the Sens hire him for Bingo?
