I'd be okay with that. It'd be interesting to see where people fit in next year. We'll have a lot of vacancies but a lot of money too.

I only see one goal for him and a team worst -6. Yikes...I know its only stats but I expected better of him considering he was the last cut in training camp. Hope he can start improving as bingo seems to be on the upswing

Yeah, that's Gryba I was talking about. Wiercioch seems to be really struggling.

That's not quite accurate. In Lehner's last game (sunday), he had a shutout. In the game before that (saturday), he didn't play. And in friday's game, although they did lose 5-2, 2 of the goals were empty netters, so he only allowed 3 on 37 shots, good for a .919 save percentage, which is pretty good. So he seems to be settling down nicely, and his stats are getting better after the 7 goal beat down in his first start.

Bobby Butler is so clearly an NHLer...the only thing he might have to work on is just strength and conditioning.

I think the official stat was 3 goals on 67 shots this weekend for Lehner, which is excellent.

Better than I thought! No brainer for Brust to go to Elmira then IMO.

That would make 0.955 SV %. Not too shabby Wink

It hurts the heart a little though because Brust is sporting a .930 in Bingo and is basically the reasons for 90% of their success. I realize Brodeur is a great AHL goaltender though and this can't be helped. Funny...I can't remember the Sens ever having any kind of goalie surplus...so that's a good thing.

It's definitely a nice luxury to have and hopefully this means the youngsters can develop a winning culture down there.

Definitely.

What Tim and Bryan Murray have done to get to the place Bingo is in right now is fantastic.

1.Signing Bobby Butler - 14 points in 12 games, including an astounding 9 goals (2nd in the league to Luke Adam). Butler is on pace for 60 goals in the AHL, something that should not be taken lightly obviously. I figure he'll tail off a lot midway through the year because of the variance between NCAA scheduling and the pro schedule.

2.Signing Corey Locke - this was probably the biggest one, 18 points in 12 games, on pace for 120 points and is making guys like Butler much better. Early season AHL MVP IMO. Calder Cup Winner.

3.Acquiring Barry Brust - 9 games played and a .930 save %. He might be on his way to Elmira now, but he'll be back...

4.Moving Lehner from the Soo to the AHL. .905 save % and the competitive attitude needed to grow with the young players.

5.Signing Andre Benoit - who has 10 points in 12 games as a D-man (on pace for 70). They sought out and got a Calder Cup Winner who has an explosive offensive game.

6.Signing David Hale - A big, tough guy on the backend - gone are the days of the B-Sens being pushed around like a pee-wee girls team. Hale immediately calmed the D when he was playing there

7.Re-signing Brodeur - a guy that Robin Lehner said he looked up to, so the Sens re-signed him. Very smart move in retrospect.

8.Re-signing Keller when it appeared he was on his way out. 9 points in 12 games, he does damage on the ice and is C off the ice.

9.Getting Colin Greening under contract before it was too late was a big move for the depth in Bingo.

10.Mike Hoffman was a nice pick - and from all accounts, he's putting in the effort but the results haven't come yet. Roman Wick was a bonus who was playing like crap, but might have gotten the memo recently. Both should play important roles for the team next year.

I would even dare to say late in the year. I could see them hitting their stride in another 20ish games and become solid secondary scoring for the team in the middle of the season.

What Bryan Murray has done for Bingo is nothing short of a miracle. To re-stock the prospect cupboard so well without the aid of lottery picks is genius. And think, some of the best prospects in the organization aren't even playing there right now: Cowen, Rundblad, Silfverberg...

I would say that Hoffman for sure will hit his stride and begin to see some offensive numbers, but I still doubt Wick has the passion and desire to make it. We'll see...

I left out what might be the most important of them all - they didn't trade Jim O'Brien when pretty much everyone had given up on him. Now he's playing the way a lot of 'experts' predicted he would when they had him as a top 5 pick in 2007.

That is the weakest draft year of this decade, if I'm not mistaken.

Edit: I am mistaken. I don't know which year I'm thinking of.

No, you're right, it was a horrible year. Still...the year before when they were pumping O'Brien's tires big time.
