Kelowna will be good as well. But yeah, gotta like where Spokane's coming from. And, as awesome as Windsor's line-up is, the Soo are sitting pretty at 5-0 so far.

Could be a good year for some of our blue-chippers. DU lost Bozak, but you've gotta figure they'll be a pretty good team as well.

I dont think anyone will touch Windsor even with Soo's start. That is basically the same team that won last year plus a major help on the blueline.

And Hall's a year older. Bingo Sens Talk - Page 8 668437

They could be one of the greatest OHL teams of all-time. I can't recall a line-up that stacked since London's in '04-'05.

Well, I don't know about you guys, but I would hope the Sens make a push for the cup next year or the year after, and I want A Train in the playoffs...

EDIT: I almost forgot about RYan Ellis and NEmisz. Ridiculous team.

Like I said, I dont want to lose the guy but it's a pretty real possibility and with a bad start to the season or if we are out of it come playoff time (God help them) A train will be dealt ASAP. Teams like Chicago or San Jose will pay a kings randsom for him.

Yep, depends on a lot of factors for sure. The most important one being the Sens' success this year.

Cundari, Wellwood, Blacker and Henrique are all serious players as well.

Unice is a good goalie, too.

Still, the Soo have a better record thus far on the power of their goaltending. And they've got some talent of their own, granted not as much (one Daniel Catenacci springs to mind).

If The Sens have a good season they might have to let A Train walk... I would try and get rid of Kelly though ASAP to resign the guy. That 2.1 mil can now be spent there. Our D would be STACKED next year and going forward for 3 or 4 years.

A Trian/Phillips
Kuba/Karlsson
Cowen/Lee

That's about as good as you can get. Campoli will be dealt I'm sure so hopefully he can put up 40 points plus this year, that would be great.

Also, if we weren't stacked on the blue-line prospect-wise and short on forward prospects, I would be all aboard the get Erik Gudbranson train.

My favourite prospect in the draft, and an almost sure-fire future captain in the NHL IMO. I think he'll go top-10. I think he's a top-three defenceman in the draft (with Fowler and Gormley).

Daniel Catenacci hasnt looked great. Nick Cousins, Verne Cooper, Jake Carrick, and James Livingston have looked the best.

That draft doesn't look that bad it seems. I heard it was not so deep.

Bingo Sens Talk - Page 8 668437 Well, there you go. Catenacci was just one name off of the top of my head. I suspect it'll take a little while with him (as it did for McFarland).

Catenacci is Pavel Bure reincarnated. He's got the speed, hands, lack of size, willingness to throw the body, and dekes I couldn't do in my dreams.

Cousins will be a top 5 pick come his draft year, mark my words. Bingo Sens Talk - Page 8 Icon_smile

I'll see your Catenacci-Bure comparison and raise you Hall-Bure. Bingo Sens Talk - Page 8 Icon_wink

Seriously, though, he should be a good one. He's also got a more marketable name than, say, Wheaton King or Wacey Rabbit. Bingo Sens Talk - Page 8 668437

It's not deep like 2009 or 2008, but the first round, especially the upper half, is pretty solid.

It's also a good year for Finland and Russia and kind of a write-off for Sweden after the 2008 and 2009 drafts and the up-coming 2011 draft (which may feature two Swedes going top-5, potentially with Larsson going first over-all).

I havent seen enough of Hall to comment, but when you watch Catty, you'll see it too.

I'm honestly not sure why the Soo is doing so well. We may not have the talent some teams do, but we've got amazing depth and they really play like a team.

Do I think Lee is useless, absolutely not. Do I think he has potential, I do. He could be top 4 (someday, not soon) in Ottawa, and being a right handed shot is going to play in his favour as well.

What Carkner brings no one else can and that is a fairly valuable asset having a guy who can play a regular shift and take a load off Neil.

I said Lee look great with Cowen and that one day (perhaps soon) could be an absolute great pairing. If Lee ever gets meaner and strong it could be a devastating pair.

Right now, Lee is about the last player The Sens need, they dont even need Picard at this point. Lee's blessing might be that he is on a 2 way deal, he actually gets to play.

Good post here, N4L. That pretty much sums it up. There are so many factors here in this demotion -- money, duplication of roles/skills, the need to add in different elements that Lee just doesn't bring -- that need to be considered.

Lee should not take this is a "you're not an NHL'er" kind of statement, because this has a lot to do with the current situation of the team. $1.275 mil is just too much to pay a 7th D.
