Obviously things can happen between now and then in a big way, but right now that is how I see things going. Maybe Carkner becomes just too good of a D man in that 6 role to let go and is pair with Cowen. (RH/LH pair there too). It's a fairly big deal playing on your natral side.

What about Wiercioch though? If he has another good season in Colorado and plays on the Canadian junior team then I'd say he will probably try to make the team next season. Obviously a lot could change over the course of a year but from all accounts Wiercioch looks like a special player. Lee still could be the odd man out if that scenario happens.

Phillips/A-train
Kuba/Karlsson
Cowen/Wiercioch
Lee

I dont see him making the jump right out of The NCAA to be honest. Still a stick and needs some seasoning and getting framilar with the organizations system. No way does Wiercoich make the jump with a defense that deep right out of college, can't see it happening.

Let him tear up The AHL.

Curiosity got the best of me and I went to HF to look at the posts. One guy said Lee was the 2nd best all around D man in Ottawa... HAHA whaaaaaat.

People are saying he is the 4th best D man on The Sens? Karlsson and Campoli are both better D men. Lee, AT BEST, is the 6th D man in Ottawa which you can def make an arguement for.
Man... it's crazy over there... like someone MURDERED Lee. Total opposite reaction than we're having over here...

N4L... c'mon man... jump in there and start swinging...

I cant even join that site based on principal, I cant associate with people that moronic and clueless. I was actually shocked. If they came to this site they would leave crying.

If BM trades Volchie he better hope Cowen will replace his ice time. This year we are relying on a 28 year old man with a grand total of 2 NHL games to add some physical presence, and we are talking about A Train leaving?

Way too early to talk about next year.

Wiercioch is the one I think we should give the most time to develop (I thought the same about Karlsson, granted, and he looks ready to play this year). Wiercioch has grown immensely since the draft, which means that he's got a lot of filling out to do. However, he also was a player that was seen as needing to improve his skating.

So, he's got to add more muscle while becoming faster. That's going to take a while. With patience, he could be a Karlsson/Cowen hybrid.

Drafted in 96 when he was 18... add 13 years to that, 31. My spelling sucks but my math is great.

Cowen will be a top 4 D man next year. The kid is amazing.

The day he got sent back to Spokane was a bad day for a lot of WHL teams.

The picked up Beach too, Spokane is winning the WHL this year. Brandon and Spokane, you can count on that.

Sure, not my point though.
Cowen should replace Carkner, not A train...

Kelowna will be good as well. But yeah, gotta like where Spokane's coming from. And, as awesome as Windsor's line-up is, the Soo are sitting pretty at 5-0 so far.

Could be a good year for some of our blue-chippers. DU lost Bozak, but you've gotta figure they'll be a pretty good team as well.

Cowen can probably replace A Train to be honest, not that I want to lose A Train, but drafting Cowen will really soften that blow if it actually happens.

I dont think anyone will touch Windsor even with Soo's start. That is basically the same team that won last year plus a major help on the blueline.

Perhaps. I think Cowen will easily be ready for a #4 or #5 slot in the NHL, whereas Carkner is a 6 or 7. Also, Karlsson figures to play more minutes in 2010-2011, and Lee and Picard (if they're here) will both be another year older.

I don't want to let A-Train walk, though. Either keep him, or package him with the Sens first and second for a top pick to nab a serious forward prospect (Connolly, Tarasenko, maybe even Seguin serious).

And Hall's a year older. Bingo Sens Talk - Page 7 668437

They could be one of the greatest OHL teams of all-time. I can't recall a line-up that stacked since London's in '04-'05.

Well, I don't know about you guys, but I would hope the Sens make a push for the cup next year or the year after, and I want A Train in the playoffs...
