Love that one. This is straight from memory.

Oh Lord, it's hard to be humble
When you're perfect in every way
Can't wait to get up in the morning
I get better looking each day
To know me is to love me
I must be one heck of a man
Oh Lord, it's hard to be humble
But I'm doing the best that I can

I also loved his Lubbock, Texas in my Rear View Mirror.

Curiosity got the best of me and I went to HF to look at the posts. One guy said Lee was the 2nd best all around D man in Ottawa... HAHA whaaaaaat.

People are saying he is the 4th best D man on The Sens? Karlsson and Campoli are both better D men. Lee, AT BEST, is the 6th D man in Ottawa which you can def make an arguement for.

I'm not gonna say they're wrong, but I think they may be a little off. :^^^^: They're crying like this is Bogosian going to Bingo - it isn't. Guaranteed Murray will deal one of the other warm bodies out by Christmas and Lee is back up for good. Whether he earns a big raise next is completely up to him, but if he goes back Bingo and sulks and sucks, he's gonna be in a lot of trouble.

A raise? Dude, he will get a little over league minimum. Prob close to 600K on a one way deal. If he gets a one way deal he shoudl consider himself extremely lucky.

The guy hasnt done anything to show he is a clear cut better choice then anyone on Ottawa's blueline. Campoli is a way cheaper cap hit, same with Picard. Karlsson is just plain and simply better. Carkner, well, Lee can't do what he does.

People are saying Lee is better then Carkner, well, he might be, but if Carkner can go out there and play good hockey without hurting the team as the number 6 guy, for almost 1/3 the cap hit, it's a no brainer.

Carkner impressed and did exactly what he had to do to make the team. He might not stay the year but fact of the matter is he deserves a shot. Lee has had more then enough opportunities to stick in Ottawa, each one failed.

One thing I am glad they did was keep Donovan, that will absolutely pay off at some point this year. Him being there will keep everyone on their toes as well. Good move.

Its pretty much impossible to make that statement with anything type of factual support for it.

Lee was just awful under Hartsburg. It was clear as day Imo that Picard was much better in every facet of the game than Lee, during the first half of the 08-09 season. It wasn't until Clouston was here that Lee started playing well and we all know Picard never played for Clouston.

Wait a sec... more than enough opportunities... I disagree there. He came up to play in the playoffs two years ago and was the team's best defenceman. Last year the team was in turmoil and being here full time would stunt anyone's development. Hartsnerd was one of the worst things to happen to this organization in a long time. He took a bad situation and made it worse.

Lee should not be discarded and he certainly is not as bad as you make him out to be. Like I said before... career potential Tom Preissing. Not a bad guy in the right role. Not worth a first round pick but you have to let that go.

I agree... veteran presence with some good speed and somewhat physical. Real good fourth liner but will never be anything more than that now.

Horrible hands though..

I'm not saying trade him, I'm not saying dispose of him, I am 100% saying that he was the right guy to move to Bingo. Lee has had way more opporunties to show is worth then Carkner has.

Do I think Lee is useless, absolutely not. Do I think he has potential, I do. He could be top 4 (someday, not soon) in Ottawa, and being a right handed shot is going to play in his favour as well.

What Carkner brings no one else can and that is a fairly valuable asset having a guy who can play a regular shift and take a load off Neil.

I said Lee look great with Cowen and that one day (perhaps soon) could be an absolute great pairing. If Lee ever gets meaner and strong it could be a devastating pair.

Right now, Lee is about the last player The Sens need, they dont even need Picard at this point. Lee's blessing might be that he is on a 2 way deal, he actually gets to play.

A good reason to hold on to him and see where we are next season, although he's an RFA... he'll serve well if we need call-ups this season and perhaps his new attitude will make for a better situation next season if we re-sign him. Perhaps Clouston can find the right "role" for him and get him to realize his true potential.

Well I will agree with most of that. I am not sure about him and Cowen. But Carkner is certainly more important to the club than another defenceman with a similar skill set to all of our gurrent 4-6 defenceman. Anyway, some time in Bingo with an expanded role will not hurt him.

The only 1-way Lee has the potential to get after this season is a 1-way ticket to Russia. He won't be signed on a 1-way when he still hasn't proven he's an NHL calibre defenseman. I'll be pissed if he spends the majority of the season in Bingo and then magically comes out of it with a Diddling 1-way contract.

Lee has a ton to learn and still a ton to learn in Bingo. He can be a good D man, right now he isnt good enough to be an NHL D man on a decent team.

Carnker being a RH shot alos got him on the team.

As for Lee and Cowen I think that will be a better pairing then Cowen and Karlsson. They really did look great together.

I'll bet good cash next year the D looks like this

A Train/Phillips
Kuba/Karlsson
Cowen/Lee

Ummm, I think he will get a one way, 2 year deal kinda thing for 500K per. Most young D men like that do get their one way deals after entry level. Look at Picard.

If he plays his way onto the team this season, then thats fine. But if he doesn't (which I'm not sure he can) then he absolutely shouldn't be given a 1-way contract.

Let's hope so. That new attitude thing still remains to be seen. For now, he's still the same presumptious kid that got all pissy when he was cut last year.

He is to me too, but I mean, you dont write off a 22 year old guy with enough potential to be a solid NHLer. Taking that pentalty sticks out in my mind last year but so does the way he looked with Cowen. Lee was phenominal that night and I think that's a direct results of playing with Cowen. That's not a bad thing but Lee has to show more on his own.

As for the right now, Lee is an AHLer and Bingo should be a very solid team.
