There isn't one. As soon as he demanded a trade his value went down. I don't know how it got out, but I find it hard to believe that the team would willingly release the fact that he requested it. I can see Bryan Murray offering up Heatley in a trade and when prompted say that he's looking at shaking up his roster, but when other GM's know the player wants out his value drops. Who do you believe, Murray (who would lose a lot in trade value if he said Danny wants out), or Danny?

At some point he needs to realize that his options were Ottawa and Edmonton and now they are gone.

Danny said it wasn't about Edmonton, but that he wanted Options. So does that mean if one of the teams on his 'list' of acceptable trade teams had worked out a deal, but there was only one, that he still would have refused?

we should have sent you as a gmhockey reporter, can we get credentials for you to gain access to that conference call?

Hey Bruce, Brennan, Chris Stevenson. If any of you are at camp next week can you please make him really answer these..I want to hear him squirm.
Heatley will never again speak to Brennan unless he totally has too.

No, it means that Heatley has no interest in playing for Edmonton but doesn't have the capacity to come up with a crowd-pleasing but logical excuse.

There isn't one. Being paid 7 figures to play a game that you love is a dream for most. I wouldn't care if I had to go to Sub-Saharan Africa to play, I'd do it. It still beats being a sandwich artist at Subway everyday of the week.

This Diddle clown wants his cake and not only eat it too, but to smear it in faces of the fans and organizations in Ottawa and Edmonton. I'm sure the fans in Edmonton, who certainly would have worshipped him would appreciate knowing why he would rather be disguntled in Ottawa then be the undoubted man in Edmonton. This big fluffy, orchestrated piece of Dung Conference call strikes me as Heatley doing the bare minimum to stay in Hockey Canada's good books.

I used to think he'd come back and bust his balls to show team Canada he's worthy of a spot, but I am worried now that we'll see the disappearing act all too frequently. I don't expect to see him at any optional skates, or team functions that he isn't required to be at.

I loathe this guy with the fire of 1000 suns. I can't wait to ship this guy out.

I think Dawg will be surprised to hear that someone called me refined.

I live in a chicago suburb which has everyone living in 500K plus homes and driving expensive cars (assuming they drive and don't have a driver to do it for them).

My kids go to a public school, which is still better than most public schools in other area of the country. Anyway I was at a block party and one of the snobs called me trash because i choose to drive a mazda MX9 and I choose to send my kids to public school and let them play with kids of all other cultures and back grounds. I kinda caused a scene when I asked the lady if she has her maid blow her husband for her cause he appears to be happier now than he was shortly after they married.

That's it, Party over, DW...to your room for a time out.

My original point was that today's Conf call didn't hurt his value.

As for who leaked it, there are so many lower staffers in both the Agent's firm and the Sens organization who could have found out and leaked it, that we probably will never know. I doubt it was Murray or McAlpine/Barry/Heatley who planned to leak it.

If I am the editor at the Ottawa Sun, I am pissed at Brennan.
Editor: Assclown, you had the one opporunity to speak to Heatley and you pulled that stunt, what were you thinking.

Brennan: I thought it was funny.

Editor: I'm feeding you to Garrioch.

Garrioch: He tastes like chicken!!!!

My initial impression while listening to the presser was Holy Diddle, this guy is sinking himself even more than not speaking. He essentially admitted that, while he is a self proclaimed "team guy" he cannot handle it when his role on the team is diminished or his ice time is cut. Doesn't matter if his production stays the same, if the perception is that he is playing a lesser role, he wants out.

He's not coachable, nor accountable. He's here to stay

Bottom line, I don't see how this asshat can play for the Ottawa Senators next season. This is beyond ridiculous. He hates it here and he hates the coach and he hates the fans. He spit the words Ottawa and fans out today with such venom.

At least he hates Edmonton more. :^^^^: He absolutely would rather play in this Dung hole than he would in Edmonton, where he wouldn't Dung on their sidewalk.

Nice work Dany, you're vilified forever in two of the biggest NHL markets.

Name one star player on any team, in any sport who doesn't/wouldn't feel the same way.

When LT had to share some carries with Micheal Turner he complained to the Chargers.

Tracy McGrady asked out of TO because he wasn't getting a big enough role.

Pitchers complain when they are moved from the rotation to the bullpen.

Try telling Martin Brodeur he is only getting 50 starts so that he is better rested for the playoffs and see what happens.

These guys have huge egos, it's what gets them to the level they are at.

What's worse, is that it's not really even a question anymore. He's basically come out and told the world that he's about himself and that's it.

He royally Diddle Murray for making even a decent deal. The return for this turd burglar is going to be next to nothing.

Sell his rights to the KHL in the form of a loan. Diddle him.
