Good move. Murray had to act as there are some decent UFA goalies available and their prices are sinking like stones. Alfie was a 6th round pick I think.

Nice worker Spezzdispenser!!! I must say I'm a little heartfelt about this, but it was a numbers game. Elliott signing must be crossing the I's and T's. $850,000 I bet.

Let's not forget we also signed Mike Brodeur who could very well be better than Elliott. All of a sudden our goalie situation looks quite promising.

I'd never even heard of Mike Brodeur until he got signed by the Sens. When was he drafted (or was he)?

I think Elliot will end up being no 1.

I will never understand why he didn't even get nominated for rookie of the year ....

They could get an invitee from training camp to back him up. I don't know what the status of Mitch O'Keefe and/or Jeff Glass is.

It'd be a good idea, actually, if not through the Heatley deal, then elsewhere.

We need at least one other goalie for the AHL. I'm not totally up to speed on Bingo, I confess, but I believe O'Keefe is in junior, Glass wasn't given a qualifying offer, and Lehner can't yet play in the AHL.

Diddle it's SJ's 6th round pick I think. Laughing3 God, we couldn't get anything for Auld obviously.

Glass actually had a pretty solid end to the season by all accounts. I hope for his sake he can put together a good season, otherwise he is done as an AHL goaltender.

Meh, we gave up our 6th rounder at the draft, this is about all I expected. Hopefully Schubert can get a 7th.
