There are all kinds of rumours. I know that Murray asked for Brown, Williams and the 5th for Healtey. They are definitely talking.

if they are talking I am happy, that is more than what was expected, and its nice to know that Murray won't accept a bogus deal just for the sake of dealing.

It is truly unbelievable how much conflicting info is out there... first we hear GMs shunning him, then we hear there are some huge bids being lobbed at Murray and he's waiting for the others to up the ante, then we hear that the bids were all low-ballers and nothing big is really happening, and then we're back to huge bids... man... I can't wait for this to be over and done.

latest from Sens Chirp, apparently 4 teams are making offers closer to what Murray is expecting.

After what was a worrisome morning it sounds like the offers are starting to come in a little bit and are getting closer to where Murray wants them. Word is there are 3 or 4 teams that are serious at this point! Hope to have more after lunch...

Hopefully this is all just posturing and a deal will get done.

If that was actually the trade, I would absolutly pay a hooker good cash to give Murray what ever he wanted.

I said production, not points, and I meant goals. Those dropped by around a third, which definitely raises questions. There could be very legitimate answers -- I mean, you don't have to look any further than Fisher last season. In his case I believe it was off-ice conditioning that led to the groin early on, and while he was struggling to get back to form the team collapsed all around him.

Dont worry about Brown, 25 goals from that type of player is more than enough. If people enjoy what Lucic brings, Brown is on another level. I would take Brown for Heatley straight up. Brown is an absolute beast and the best contract in the NHL.

Like I said earlier, all posturing. That Panzieri article will look awfully stupid when Heatley is moved later today.

Don't forget, the Oilers came out and said a few days ago that they would wait until draft day to ask Murray in person what he was asking. Although they teach you not to do it in school, procrastination is just a tool used by GMs everywhere. There is a reason why there are deadlines, otherwise the GMs would simply stare at each other until someone blinks.

I am hoping that is the case, I did not know that about Tambellini and the Oilers waiting until today though, that can only serve (hopefully) to drive the price up more, I know his cap hit is huge over 5 years, but this is a pure scorer, guys like this don't grow on trees.

Fisher just isn't all that good.

Looks to me like Frolov got more goals at the expense of Brown and Kopitar.

From what I understand, the Minnesota Wild have tabled the best offer so far, and Murray is using that leverage to see what everyone else will ante up with.
