From today's Ottawa Sun...

The indications are Murray was seeking the following Friday night:

From Los Angeles
RW Dustin Brown and D Jack Johnson, along with the Kings’ first-round pick (No. 5 overall). The belief is the Kings tried to peddle LW Alexander Frolov. If the Senators are going to give up a North American, they want one back.

From Minnesota
C Pierre-Marc Bouchard and D Brent Burns. Wild GM Chuck Fletcher wants to make a splash and needs help at forward, but he’d rather move C James Sheppard. The Wild wants Heatley, but not at any price.

From the Rangers
D Marc Staal, C Brandon Dubinsky and/or RW Ryan Callahan. GM Sather — who’s trying to dump salary — is planning to take another run at the Senators after Friday night's failed talks.
Murray has also held talks with the Blackhawks, Oilers and Blues.

It's a Garrioch article, so it's hard to say how "factual" this is. Enjoy!

The Citizen had BM seeking 'at least one player' from a selection of Staal, Dubinsky, Callahan and prospect Artem Anisimov.

Dawg just sent me a text. He's was sniffing around at breakfast this morning and it seems that the NYR are going to make a serious run at Heatley this morning.

His impression is Ottawa won't do the deal with the Rangers, without Staal being in the deal.

Did he mention a date in his original "prediction"?

I really, really don't want to take back any salary, and dealing with the Rangers that's not possible.

Again, the choice might be getting nothing from Heatley vs taking salary back. Hopefully NYR can make a move somewhere else.

I wonder how valid this is, those are some serious offers.

It's not valid IMO. It sounds like rambling to me.

I buy it... If there's one time of the year where Garrioche can get actual legit info, its now at the draft.

It also fits with what GMs were rumoured to be saying about Murray asking for the moon.

Brown, JJ, AND the 1st? Crazy!

Pronger and whoever for Lupul, Sbisa TWO firsts AND a conditional pick...

Is that crazy?

Murray did the right thing. Better to hang on to Heatley than get stiffed.

Its nowhere near as crazy as asking for PMB and Burns...

Lupul was a throw away (albeit one with some top-6 talent, nonetheless 100% expendable for Philly), a young potential (however unlikely) replacement, and two late 1st round picks, plus a conditional.

Thats not a crazy return. Thats settling for a return. If Murray accepts a deal like that, I'm not going to fall over myself with Joy.

Dreger mentioned on Twitter that "Sounds like New York will take another run at Heatley today.". He posted this 3 hours ago for what it is worth.

Anaheim didn't want Lupul before, they dumped him; we'll see how long he stays there.
