He's too busy selling that new helmet design... and eating Lay's chips.

McKenzie said that? Diddle me upside down, I'm okay with this!

Stevie Y is a good fit. There is no-one else I would choose. Especially not Nicholson and even more not Messier. If Stevie wants the jobs take it for some respect in the room. Other than that Murray has not been the problem in my books. He won the Tampa trade outright. He got us character players to start the year. The room is just poison. That falls on leadership of the team. Phillips has been piss poor and he is one I would like to see go. Alfie is worn down I think but he has been horrible lately. And Heatly is wearing an 'A' and he has been awful.

Perhaps the cheapest solution, give Smith an 'A' and give Neil or Donovan an 'A'. Strip the other two jokers. I would even think of relieving Alfie of the 'C'.

Bob McKenzie... interesting... he's never one to speculate unless he's really sure...

Wow.

Why the different standards for Alfie and Phillips ?

Volchenkov stays. No question. It is absolutely unacceptable to trade him. He's ranked the #1 defender in the league (and hence the world) for Diddle sake.

In what league is Volchenkov ranked the #1 defender? I love him, but he's not in the top 20. I can probably name 30 actually that are better.
#1 defender...Not defenseman.

What do you mean? Alfie's still awesome, Phillips is not.

Hmmm...okay...I don't see that either, but whatever gets people through the rough times (again, I LOVE A-Train, so don't get pissed at me Smile )

He said he would leave to GM a team if the chance arose.

Not to mention he'll never get a shot in Detroit. Holland is the man and he's young enough to last for a long long time. Stevie Y. will not be a GM before the Olympics. He's comitted to putting his time in for that and learning the ropes in Detroit. I would expect at most that he's names co-GM some place with a comittment that it's his team but they will allow him all the time he needs to concentrate on Team Canada. Once the Olympics are over he'd be totally focused on his NHL team.

I don't see that happening though.

He's been brutal this year (like everyone else), with the giveaways, mental mistakes and bad penalties.

His giveaways have been tremendous, but he can still take over a game like few others.

The "NEW and IMPROVED" part has been bolded for ease of reference.

Thank you.

Nothing's for real until there's a press conference. Nothing but rumours flying right now.

It might even be realer than a lot of the other Dung we read about day after day. Or it might not.

Remember when "accountability" was the buzzword for the 08-09 Senators? I thought that was real too.

Time will tell.

The fact that it's coming from Bob McKenzie goes a long way...

We'll see.

Makenzie's been on the Quinn train for a while, so that rumour must be out there. The other two names just popped up recently, and the fact that he's backing up the Sun and other rags like that is...pretty big really.
