"Well, this is the devil we know, but is it better?"

The Ottawa Senators (17-25-8, 42 pts) visit the New Jersey Devils (16-30-3, 35 pts) Tuesday night. The Devils have been playing better, of late, going 6-3-1 in their last tem, while the Sens are 1-6-3 in that same period. At that rate, another 10 games would see the Sens overtake the Devils for that last-overall spot and a guaranteed top-three pick at the draft. But it won’t be easy, as the Oilers and Islanders (both sporting a 2-7-1 record in their last 10) are not going to give up with a fight.

Latest updates:
Colin Greening and Robin Lehner were recalled yesterday from Bingo. The AHL All Star Break means no regular season games are scheduled, so don’t think Lehner is up here to do anything more than collect a bigger paycheck and at least practice with the big dogs. Looking forward to seeing what Greening can do.
The Devils have also recalled 4 AHLers: Mark Fraser, Vladimir Zharkov, Nick Palmieri and Mattias Tedenby.

TSN's Ice Chips:

    Ottawa
    Buffalo

Ottawa Senators Key Injuries:

Jarkko Ruutu (lower body) on injured reserve
Jason Spezza (shoulder) our indefinitely (although there were rumours he might be ready)
Pascal Leclaire (body – inner, outer, you name it) out until he’s not

New Jersey Devils Key Injuries:

    Colin White (lower body) questionable
Matthew Corrente (sprained left shoulder) 2-4 weeks
Matt Taormina (left ankle surgery) out indefinitely
Wing Zach Parise (arthroscopic right knee surgery) out indefinitely
Jacob Josefson (hand surgery) 6-8 weeks
    Bryce Salvador (concussion) out indefinitely

Apparently Spezza is aiming to return Saturday against the Isles. Tank bus gets a flat.

Hey, I only have one "template" that happens to be with the Sens being the home team. Sometimes you cut too much, sometimes not enough.

Geeze, what happened to before, when people would give you rep points for starting a GDT. I get no respect, I tell ya.

Huge game for us. NJ could pull within 5 points with the win.

I'm hoping for a 1-0 loss with Lehner making 50+ saves!
