LOL.

Prrrf. The only message that locker room gets out of this is that maybe Burke has no clue how to responsibly manage a team in a cap era. What a joke. Somebody had to go and everybody knew it, so pointing to work ethic like this is pretty laughable.

Work all you want, but if you fit the bill and another team is willing to take you on -- which probably means you're useful, serve a purpose, and have a cheap, short-term contract -- then you stood the chance of getting shipped out.

What a joker this guy is. Does he really think anyone is going to buy that assessment?

He shouldn't. O'Donnell is a great character guy. If the Sens needed him, I would've said do it for sure.

As you said: Joker.

It's becoming more and more clear that Burke is just an *ss-hat!

Maybe we can squeeze Getzlaf out of him for Vermette?

LOL. Done!

Hell, I'd consider Spezza or Fisher for that one, too. Getzlaf is your prototypical #1 centre -- big, mean, strong, goal-scorer, and aggressive forechecker. His contract is pretty reasonable, too. He's Fisher tough but with better hands (albeit, not Spezza good, but good -- but, by the same token, a much harder, grittier player). And he played marvelously alongside Heatley in the IIHF.

Then we can work on prying Rick Nash out of Columbus.

LOL... i'd hesitate to send Spezza but a package around Fisher i'd definitely be down for... I just really don't see Anaheim trading him.. LOL

While I adore Fisher, unless it's a dream package, I want him to remain a sen.

but if Ottawa or ANY team for that matter could have a line of Nash, Getzlaf and Heater...WOW!!

Heck, if we got Nash/Getzlaf/Heater all together, it wouldn't matter what the rest of the team looked like. With Alfie on the second line (he's a lifer, right?), we may as well just go get the cup engraved.

Getzlaf would be a dream. I'd do it before I could even pronounce Fisher's name -- and that's not to suggest that Fisher isn't awesome, it's just to say that Getzlaf is top-10 centre in the league material.
