I think had he not been chosen that may have woke him up more.

I think this would be a good time for Hartsburg to step in and say, "Oh no you ain't".

Maybe run a mini-camp for the Senators first ever "Accountability Week-End".

Garbage.
Alfie is tied in points, has a plus-rating, is on the back-side of his career, came back from knee surgery after 1 week, and has the sentimentality aspect behind him. I don't care if this team is in the dumps, the Captain deserves it more than the shouldn't-be-alternate-Captain...

Deserve's got nothing to do with it. Remember when Alfie got jobbed out of the Conn Smythe so Niedermeyer could have a retirement present from Buttman?

Conn Smythe only goes to losing goalies...losing players don't stand a chance.
Regardless, Alfie is the more entertaining, sleak player. Heatley is garbage, first of all, and when he's good he's just a bull-sniper. If it's supposed to be for entertainment purposes, they should have given it to Alfie or Spezza.

The Canadian Press has their picks up, I guess this isn't the actual list. This is where I found Alfie's name on it in the reserves section.

Nonsense. You're taking the Heatley-slump waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too far.

Probably...
Anyways, I thought about it and it seems like they may have selected him because he was injured for last years game. Spezza and Alfredsson were both there, but Heatley wasn't. Maybe they voted him in simply because of that..?

Probably. And also because he kills it at the All-Star Game. 5 goals that one year I think. Lemieux was trying to feed him for the 6th (or perhaps the 5th).
