I wish it had been on Pronger though, he deserves whatever comes to him.

It was still a bad play by Alfie though, I wasn't really impressed with it.

I don't know if this is posted yet but Shannon is getting a spot on the top line tonight. I think it's a good idea. He's too small to be a grinder on the 3rd or 4th line yet he seems to have a scoring touch. Let's see what he can do with Heater and Spezz.

It wasnt posted he was, I brought up that him being a right handed shot and being a smaller guy who would get space to work, would be a good guy up there. Guess Hartsberg agrees.

That's what I've been thinking since this happened. Kostopolous' suspension was DEFINITELY warranted...even though I haven't seen Ruutu's hit...the talk seems to be that it wasn't suspendable...
They better be suspending anyone that elbows or gives someone a head shot, whether they're called for a major or not...I want to see if Campbell is actually going to be consistent with this or if he's going to pick and choose.
I can guarantee that if this is actually going to be suspendable every time, Pronger is the next to go for a long long time. He'll miss half the season if this is how it's going to go. Should be interesting to see. Campbell has a hard on for Pronger as it is...we'll see.

I thought the Ruutu play meritted a suspension. That said, that play often goes unpunished. By that logic, he shouldn't have been, despite what he did was easily suspendable. He came flying out of nowhere with his elbow at face level. Brutal play.

See, this is my issue... We won't... The NHL always says they are clamping down, but clamping down only means increased suspensions for 3rd and 4th liners... it's a double standard... and that is why the league loses credibility with these suspensions... The hit was a bad one and I agree with a suspension, but exactly as Heater says, we'd better see one pretty much every week now because that is the frequency of these hits...

Exactly. This is exactly what I mean. Double standards better be out the window now, you've messed with a major market Canadian team, we'll be watching every move made from here on in.

No more 1 game suspensions for Pronger, that's a 20 gamer from here on out.

Keep the head up though. Is it Ruutu's fault that Maxipad can't play the game? If that hit was administered in the corner, it's not even a penalty. It's because that fairy was looking at the puck (something all crap players do) and because he dove like a fairy.
