That was a crap effort from everyone except Auld. Brutal. They need to "get it" very soon or else we'll be in the lottery draw before you know it.

I'm outta here guys.

Holy Diddle! Pittsburgh came back and beat Detroit. It was 5-2 with less than a period to play. That's character, heart and determintion.

You know what deal I'd love to do right now, though highly unlikely considering how f'n good he is... Vermette for Dustin Boyd.

Ruutu should get suspended...

This is a very sorry lookin bunch right now.... I dont think there is a panic button to push, but some guys have to go. Vermette has got to go, he brings absolutly nothing to the table. Phillips looks awful almost every game and has lost a step (ala Redden).

Spezza didnt even play badly tonight, nor did Heatley, they were the only positives in my opinion along with Auld, that being said 1 point in 6 games for Spezza, that has to change in a big, big hurry.

I won 270 on my proline tonight with that comeback win.

I agree...the entire team played like crap last night...

Phillips has not looked very good thus far this season...he's had some good games...and others that are just brutal...

Spez...Heat...Alfi...Fish...need to get their asses in gear and start producing...

word on the street is that Atlanta has finally discovered that having 3 goalies just doesn't work...Lehtonen looks to be the odd man out...as per the article I read...cannot remember where though...or I'd post a link...

anywho...

I know Auld has been playing well...but long-term this guy is not the solution...so do the sens make a pitch for Kari?

what do they do with Gerber...he is certainly not going the other way...they want to get rid of a goalie...

demoting him to the minors is of course an option...but I think we all forget that as rich as Eugene is...3.7 million is a lot of money to be paying someone for nothing...furthermore...in the economic turmoil...etc...cap maybe going down...oweners possibly losing millions...waiving players with huge salaries like Gerbs may not be done...

as for secondary scoring...where do the sens turn to?...same with PMD?

it isn't time to necessarily hit the panic button...but it is certainly at the point where we should be inches away from doing so...

I put 5 bucks on my ticket.

Pitts over Det by 1.
Cros over Hossa.
Malk over Dats.
Mon over Ott by 1.
Alfred tie with Kovalev.

That Pittsburgh-Detroit literally had me screaming at the end. I was watching it at my friend's house, and the ticker on TSN flashes 6-6. I was so pumped, because it looked like the ticket was going to be no good.

That Detroit game was ridiculous!! I kept seeing the updates thinking it was out of hand, then they'd come back, then it was gone again, then they were back, then they were REALLY gone, and then they win!??

Good on you Staal.

The cap has already been rumored to be going up to 59+ million.

Yeah, the Malkin assist on the game-tying goal was really the BIG one to get.

Pavelec was demoted to the minors yesterday. Problem solved, at least for now.

I agree that there's a good chance that Lehtonen might be moved sometime this year, but I don't think it's going to happen before January/February.

I'm normally a big Lehtonen supporter, but those injury problems of his just won't go away, and that has me nervous.
