Im not ok with Balcers getting claimed.
I don’t see how adding a guy like Galchenyuk makes it ok to loose a guy like Balcers.

Hopefully we don’t lose anyone.

I don't think he will, I think they'll navigate around it when the time comes.

Every team is in the same situation. Many of them don't have the cap flexibility or contract space to claim someone. Add if Ottawa loses someone they go to the top of the claim list.

Lajoie is the first to be placed on waivers.

Would definitely be better than losing him and Balcers to waivers. Two good friends both departing soon. Hopefully Watson and Galchenyuk were worth it.

Only surprise to me would be coburn or Reilly in for Wolanin (if this is what opening night will look like), but otherwise I would be happy with that on opening night. Doesn’t matter much as the lineup will always change
