Thats been the model so far. There were good pieces in the kalrsson trade but nothing close to what it should be. I’m tired of « useful » pieces. We can draft those. I want high quality players and prospects.

Speaking of, haven’t heard any talks of trading Tierney yet. Not much on Boedker either. But I guess they aren’t UFA’s so maybe next year.

Interesting , Friedman saying that contract talks are heating up with Stone but not for Duchene and he may be being shopped right now. We’ll see what happens

UFA’s tonight making a case for themselves to be traded at a premium?

Yeah that seems like a 180 from prior rumors/talk.

We’ll see I guess.

Like with the Karlsson saga I am getting tired of this I am glad the dead line is 9 days away. Trade them and move on or sign them and move on I am tired of hearing it and am ready to move on

I feel like we haven’t heard that much to be honest.

Sorry, why was the Karlsson trade so bad?

They got a 1st, two 2nds (conditional 1st), two young prospects that project to be top-six or top-nine forwards, a RHD that's playing top two minutes right now (really a top four), and a versatile center that's playing bottom minutes but quietly 5th in team scoring.

Karlsson was never going to re-sign. 8 x 11 is better then what he will get as a UFA this summer.

I get where he's coming from. Rumors have been mixed he just wants this over with.

Meanwhile Niku and Roslovic only played 14 mins last night, but both looked okay. The Moose play Nashville's farm team today in Winnipeg.

On a great team Dimielo might not even be on the top 4. It can be argued that he’s a product of his pairing too.

That aside I think the argument is that we wanted quality not quantity in a kalrsson trade.
I seriously won’t say much about the prospects until they show they are really top 6. And Tierney... meh. What you might be missing is that we got players that we could have drafted or signed. When you give up a generational superstar you want in return something that is hard to draft(or sign as a FA) to begin with. We didn’t get none of that.

There were way too many factors at play that lowered karlssons value. The key to the deal will be Norris, Balcers, and the picks. If they don’t turn out then it was underwhelming.

I really hope Kalrsson resigns give ourselves an extra piece. And I hope the sharks make the SCF for that matter. I don’t think they will but hey maximize our picks.

Right or wrong, I can’t wait to immediately compare what Dorion paid for Duchene one year ago to what he gets in return for him. Even though by everyone’s standards Duchene had an amazing year stats wise, I expect a laughable return.

I'll cheer for the logo, but I have a hard time committing much time or effort watching every game and frequenting forums while eugene owns the team. What a cockroach.

I am guessing a three-way trade between Columbus, Nashville and Ottawa with Tolvanen, Foudy and 2019 1st coming back to Ottawa (maybe another minor piece).

Stone to Winnipeg for 2019 1st, Niku and Dano

I see Ottawa with at least 3 first rd picks depending on what they do with Dzingel and Ceci

Sens draft within the top-two in the 2020 season (Lafrenniere/Byfield) and also pick up Rossi with the SJS pick.

Did you not hear the Jets fans chanting "we want Stone"? Fan base is going to be pissed if they don't get him. Dorion actually has leverage for once.

Dano is also a mid-level prospect at this point. A late 1st and Niku is really what the Sens will be getting
