So the Sens are in Vegas tonight at 8. Is this the 10th game of the season already?? Vegas doesn't seem to be what they were last year, yet. Fleury has mediocre stats, similar to Anderson right now. I'm not sure if Matrix or Condon will be in net. Both teams are on two game losing streaks.

With Zack Smith out, I think Boucher said Colin White will be moving to centre, since there weren't really any uninjured centres they could call up from Belleville. Right-winger Jack Rodewald was called up. He has 7 points in 8 games so far with Belleville, but assuming Boucher goes with 7D and 11F, I don't think he'll get in the lineup. I have no idea what the lines will look like, but we should get an update after the morning skate. Yesterday I believe Guy had Duchene with Stone and Dzingel for the top line.

My niece (who was born in Montreal but lives in Jersey) is representing at the game tonight. She must go to all the Sens games in Jersey and Vegas. Last year in Vegas she brought her #MelnykOut sign.

It baffles me that Wideman doesn’t get the same sort of criticism as Ceci does. He’s awful.

Boro getting five minutes for that hit is the reason hockey is trash now . Soft , soft game

Why didn't Merrill get and extra 2 for starting a fight wearing a visor?

Analysts initially said it was shoulder on shoulder then changed their song when the 5 went up.

My biggest issue is that he came all the way from his left side to the other faceoff circle to deliver the hit. Predatory.

That was one of the worst we've seen from this team in a long time. They were dominated from puckdrop, intimidated off the puck, beaten in 1 on 1 battles. Should have been a loss in regulation, we're lucky. We're also dead if that's the way we're gonna play. It started earlier, but in the 2nd and 3rd period of the Colorado game we just stood there holding our cocks and watching in our own zone. It happened all night long tonight and we'll won't win again for a long, long time if it continues. Sweet lord...

Good news is Arizona and Buffalo coming up

At least we’re scoring. Reffing was awful again tonight

Dude. They got a point against a team that made it to the Cup finals. Ya it was ugly but on paper Vegas should have steamrolled us. Just because we won a few games at the start of the season doesn't mean expectations should change. We beat Arizona and they go 1-1-1 on a west coast trip with the regulation loss against Colorado where we lost two players to injury and were up going into the third. Back to back games against the Sabres. Can easily be 3 games over 500 by Sunday. Relax

I'm relaxed, but the alarms are going off right now because of the way they're losing. If you saw the last two games, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Very dicey Dung where they're flat out dominated for long stretches of the game - worse, they're standing watching. It's cause for alarm with Boucher, no question right now he's trying to decide how to stop this before the artery is cut.

Say what you will about Smith being overpaid, he can still win a faceoff. We lost Pageau before the season started, we just lost Smith. Dzingel was taking draws last night.

Boro went on a hunting trip with that hit. He can't do that. He's for to play like a dome hockey defenseman and stay in his tracks.

Wideman needs to sit out a few games or they play 7D and he only takes PP and offensive zone starts.

Their best (statistically, per game) forward should be back in a couple of weeks.

Right now, after 10 games, they are ahead of expectations. They are scoring goals, the PP is improved, the pace is better, Anderson has (mostly) been better. Lots of positives.

Too many penalties, although I agree with Ev -- reffing has not been fair in a few games. Need to work on d zone coverage and stop giving up 30+ on a nightly basis.

This is about what I expected this season. An 82 point pace

I dont understand why that hit is suspension worthy.

To be honest I am happy Boro may be suspended again. I hope he learns not to blow coverage in order to make a big hit. Going into the season we knew our d-men were going to be bad. With or without Karlsson. Jaros, Chabot, and Lajoie are rookie d-men, Ceci, Wideman, Boro are 5-6 d-men, and Harpur flat out sucks. Ceci and Wideman will be gone next year - replaced by Jaros and maybe someone else. Wolanin will get NHL minutes next season. So we need to be patient. This is a transition year.

Also keep in mind that Paajarvi is hurt, and it's evident Dzingel is playing hurt. What boggles my mind is why Formenton didn't play in OT. He'd be lights 3 v 3. But like usual Boucher continues to play his vets while the younger players watch. I get he's playing for his job, but the fan base wants to see the kids play (and make mistakes) not Boedker playing in OT. The Sens can't call up Chlapik or Paul as they're hurt, so the organizational depth is not looking good at C right now.

The Sens can beat Arizona and they'll be back over .500. Also, two games this week against Buffalo. And we should be getting Tkachuk back in another 1-2 weeks. My guess still remains this Saturday but he hasn't been skating so I am probably wrong. As far as a rebuild is concerned, we are ahead of expectations. 10 points in 10 games played and have played Col, Mtl, Tor, Bos x 2. All good teams. The Sens haven't played an 'easy' game yet. And they're super injured and not that skilled to begin with. So ya, snagging a point against Vegas was never expected to be happy about it.

Sens next 5 games: @ Arizona, v Buffalo, @ Buffalo, v Tampa, v NJD. You hope to go 3-2 and may even be able to squeeze out a 3-1-1.

Next 5 after that: v Vegas, @ Tampa, @ Florida, v Det, v Pitt. You hope to go 2-3. We're a 500 hockey team.

We should be continue to watch our players develop, cheer against SJ, and hope Buffalo, LA, Van-City, Arizona, Isles, Canes, NYR, etc continue to lose games

I don’t want to see Formenton in OT. He hasn’t proven he can handle the puck yet at this level , and 3 on 3 is not the time to learn. Stone, Duchene, boedker would be my top 3 forwards to use 3 on 3. Boedker has been one of our better players in my opinion.

Formenton will most likely be sent down to London, I’d say.
