Well, it was a chaotic game with a bunch of penalties on both sides. The Flyers had a billion great chances, and buried a bunch of them. We let them have way too much zone time where they were just cycling the puck in circles around us.

Bad team defence. Wideman and Boro caught out of position way too many times. Boro trying to make hits, Wideman pinching at bad times. A lot of odd-man rushes. And the team as a whole can't shut down top lines. Anderson let in some weak ones but made some saves he shouldn't have. Same old. They may be able to take advantage of LA Saturday as it's a day game and they may not be acclimatized to the time zone. Who knows. The story all season long will be their inability to play defense. Which we knew would be the issue all season long.

The last goal in both of the last two games has been an empty netter, meaning they were not out of it until the end.

I'll tell you what, if Mark Stone doesn't get going, he's going to take a huge hit financially. But I'm confident he will be back to his old self. It is scary giving an 8 year deal to him though, even though I would do it.

Sens were in it until Philly scored on the PP (wideman penalty). That was the momentum killer for the Sens who were up 1-0, 2-1, and tied 3-3. Laughton scored a softie to make it 4-3 but the Sens were still buzzing even when it was 5-3.

Duchene and Stone need to start showing up. Duchene is generating chances. Stone (anchored by Smith IMO) has been invisible.

You know what was incredibly nice to see the sens score on not one but 3 power plays

Take the positives where you can.

Tkachuk with a gordie Howe and almost a hat trick was nice.
Also the seemless transition of lajoie into the top 4 with his offence continuing. At this pace he’s gonna outscore kalrsson Sarcasm .

But seriously, chabot and lajoie both 3rd and 4rth in Dmen points. It won’t stay but enjoy it while it lasts.

At least we're scoring. Duchene and stone haven't turned it on yet, so maybe there's a chance to really get his together
