How are we feeling about the "Jags" Jagr rumours?

I think it was more a prank than a rumour. A hoax.

Im not a big fan of our original logo. I know everyone is and that's ok. But I will say this, I found this over on HF boards and I think it's a nice start for the colour combinations. Especially the red one.
Is it sad that fans do a better job at generating good looking merchandise than the actual org? Yes... yes it is.

Yeah. I like that shade of red too.

don't like the black shoulders. Too NJ devils-esque. Think it'd look much better without them

Yes it does look like a NJ imitation.

I think the point is that the org should take a new direction with its jersey and maybe (just maybe) listen to what fans might want.

If they did we'd probably have those heritage jerseys as permanent jerseys this season

The 3D logo is almost as embarrassing as the Oilers mascot is frightening. Stripes, shoulder color, collars - all that is secondary.

I've always been a less is more guy. I do really like both of the above jerseys. And hey, maybe if the organization listened to it's fans they'd have people in their seats Wink

Did anyone see Dorion's quote re: MacArthur? Essentially the team expects him back but the decision is up to him. Umm... I didn't know he was contemplating retirement? Something maybe the team should have addressed earlier this off-season?

It was mentioned at the exit interviews that his future was up in the air.

I saw it reiterated today. I mean health obviously comes first but you'd think the organization would have a contingency plan? Ryan Dzingel isn't it...

I'll keep saying it. I never minded the 3D logo but if something cooler could be done I'd be all for it.
Of course with this org we could wind up with something worse that makes us beg for the current logo back

If you ask dorion then it likely is the plan!
Although I'm sure Dorion is still busy if there isn't an upgrade available out there. He seems like an antsy GM always trying to see if there's a good deal out there.
James Neil is maybe available. But is it worth it for just one year?

I don't think the Sens will touch James Neal. He seems like a guy that will be a deadline deal versus someone that moves now.

Sens' CFO resigns to go back to Toronto. He was hired on last August to replace a guy who lasted a little over a year. When the last guy was brought in he reported directly to Menyk, by-passing Leeder. Do this isn't Anselmi cleaning out a Leeder hire.

But it still smells like a cleansing.

A lot of upheaval in the Sens front office lately, but who knows what it actually means.

Oh, on the subject of Melnyk, RIP Bert's Bar: http://www.nationnews.com/nationnews/news/98856/bert-bar-employees-money-answers

Wow, that's a short story. Is it even a full paragraph? Come on, that's not how you win a Pulitzer.
