With Ryan out McCormick will draw in ... as the 4th line left-winger. The only thing that Ryan's absence resulted in was more ice-time for the top 9. So don't tell me that we would have somehow been a stronger team if Ryan didn't play at all and we had McCormick there, instead.m Don't forget that they half anticipated this anyway, and had Lazar taking line rushes in his place.

Typically I think it's better when a team has a full lineup for most of the game.

Over a stretch of 82? For sure. Single game a coach would prefer to play the top three lines. Shortening the bench is a common term, they do it when they need to generate more offense

We need to investigate a top six LW. I can't bang that drum hard enough. It would really help settle the offense in.

No. Coaches want to be able to spread out the minutes so that they don't burn out their players. No coach would tell you that he'd prefer to only play 3 lines. They'd say that they hope to get balanced scoring so that they don't have to shorten the bench.

Where do you come up with this stuff?

Well according to pierre Lebrun the sens Gm is looking to help his scoring depth in trying to find a winger via the trade route and apparently is trying to find smeone for the third or fourth line.... FML Facepalm

Can we never adress the god damn problem directly!!??

Yeah, getting a stud winger is pretty tricky right now...more of a deadline move. So this approach actually makes a bit of sense right now, especially if it's more of a stop gap until Ryan and MacArthur (?!?) Are back.

Yeah, that won't solve much.

Per Garrioch:

So...Englund and Robinson have been called up.  McCormick sent down.  Bobby R and Claesson placed on the IR.  Meth might play tomorrow in which case I guess Englund doesn't.

Bobby on the IR means he can't play until next Thursday.

Oh man...Englund is such an exciting player to have coming up

During the game Garrioch, I think, said the expectation was two weeks for Ryan.

Buddy coming to the big city for Christmas. Wonder if he had to travel through the seven levels of the candy cane forest and past the sea of swirly-twirly gumdrops.

Should be an interesting game to watch with englund in.

Englund is a third year pro. Should be good.

Dorion also said that MacArthur will play this year. 100%, not 90, but 100.

When though?   5 games at the end if the season?  we need help if that's the case.

Hate to turn all EvTurris on you, but check the standings. 3 points up on Boston and Tampa (game in hand on Tampa) and just 3 back of the Habs.

And Stone/Hoffman are heating up as is the power play.
