There really is no question which of the two (Bishop/Elliott) is the better goalie, but you cannot simply get the best player at every position. We have no idea what their internal budget is, but they've got to have one. They have three RFAs to re-sign (Monahan, Gaudreau, Colborne) plus another forward or two. That's got to be around $12M+, you add the extra $4.5M for Bishop over Elliott and you're talking about $66M. If Tkachuk makes the team add another $2M (including bonuses). Don't talk to me about delaying bonuses because this is a budget team, not a cap team, so *real* salary matters. Don't forget that business is not exactly doing well in Calgary.
