I went to see Matteau play in juniors in Laval. Seems like a bottom pairing guy. Was a men amongst boys in juniors.

PW46 - a healthy scratch D on arguably the worst defensive team in the NHL. Isn't the question why would I trade for this guy?

A lot of deadline players are like trash you put out at a garage sale.

I thought TB should have traded him. I don't recall saying he was definitely going to be traded.

Well to be fair we had a very questionable D past the first pairing and nothing was working.
On a team with good D depth that is hard to play against who knows if he couldn't turn it around. He needs a solid D partner.

Stevie Y not trading Drouin should do nothing but reduce his trade value considering the guy will not be getting off his couch the rest of the season.

That said, he'll defi be traded for someone's first rounder at the draft.

...but NO value at all? Not a 5th, not a 6th? Nothing? Because we're not qualifying him for 2.7 million or whatever it is this summer, so we just let a UFA walk for all intensive purposes.

Oh well..

Couldn't a Pirri for Wiercioch have worked...??...

Took a glimpse at HF boards and saw one of the biggest mass forum suicides due to shane prince being traded. Wow our fans are pathetic.

Honestly, not much point dealing Wiercioch!h for 5th rounder. Let him play out the year, maybe he gets a bunch more games in and he becomes tradeable at the draft...I dunno, I wouldn't be over the moon just dealing him for a 5th.

Yeah, Twitter is the same way right now (lead by notorious critic 6th Sens). It's sad. Murray added Phaneuf which is good going forward. See what we do at forward in the off season and then maybe whine.

It's still over 500,000 in cash that we're flushing right down the toilet. A 5th would have been fine and dandy the later the day went.
