The key is they don't unload their best prospects for rentals, they use picks and second tier prospects.
That's actually not true. They just unloaded their top prospect Dano and Danaault was a rguably their beet after him. Their prospect cupboard us bare. If they don't win the cup they will be looking at a darker future as both Ladd and panarin will be gone.
I don't like this latest trade at all for them.
They still have Teraveinin, Hartman, Panaerin, Pokka and McNeil.
Teravianen is not a prospect. Panarin is not a prospect. Hartman is not a great prospect. McNeil is basically fourth line potential.
Panarin most likely will be too expensive for them to resign after one good year playing with the tip point scorer in the league.
