10-7 RedBlacks lead at the half against BC. Half a game into the home half of the season and they already have a passing touchdown.

RedBlacks win it going away, 27-16. Three touchdowns from the offense -- is that more than they scored (at home) all last season?

Great game by the RB's... 2-0, fun times!

Getting into CFL slowly but surely.

That tipped-and-nearly-intercepted touchdown was a great catch. A bit of luck, for sure, but still great. Going on 3rd and 1 was fun, too. Burris really looked upset not going for it 3rd an almost 2 earlier in the game. Then the D stopping the Lions on their own 3rd and whatever it was, very fun game to watch.

That was another stinker last night. If not for the defense it would have been over early. I don't know what's going on with Burris but a lot of his passes were quite poor. I think he ended up with just two interceptions but there were other passes that seemed to go nowhere. Also the refereeing continues to be baffling. There was a 15 yard roughing the passer call where contact was minimal and came a split second after the ball was away. Could have made a big difference as we would have gotten good field position.

I'm not really much of a football person, but Burris really hasn't been very good and this goes back to last year.

They should have kept the other guy. Wasn't he a fair bit younger?

I think they still have both their backups from last year (DeMarco and O'Brien).

Back atop the East. Strange game. Missed extra point, missed field goal from 32 yards out, then wins it with a FG in OT. Two big sacks/fumbles including the one that set-up the winning GF, and a huge 84 yard passing TD. I guess I'll take it.

Is this the only Redblacks thread around? I seem to recall a more recent one but can't find it quickly.

Anyhow, 1PM game today. Redblacks have 2 games remaining -- the home-and-home series against Hamilton. Both teams have identical records and if either team wins both games they win the East. If they split the series then it goes down to point differential in the two games.

If the Redblacks win one game then the Argos can't catch them, so a win today guarantees a home playoff game.

The only wrinkle, Burris hasn't taken starter's snaps the last couple of practices after getting his knee banged up on a dirty play in the previous game. With the playoffs in the bag and only a split with point differential needed to win the East, there is a good chance they'll sit Burris out to make sure the knee is 100%.

Weird game. Redblacks couldn't punch it in in the 1st Q going with the wind, getting 3 field goals from Milo. Nail-biting time now as their lead is down to 12-9 and that's with two interceptions (endzone and goal-line) to keep it that way.

Some of those calls in the end were BS but the Redblacks prevailed. Interesting fact courtesy of Ian Mendes, the last time that Ottawa hosted a CFL playoff game the Prime Minister was Trudeau. Guess who's getting sworn in in three days.

What are these REDBLACKS you speak of?

I still don't know how the CFL exists.
