Again, he's a 20 year old Dman. What more do people want.

If the question is "has he been great for a 21 year old D man in the NHL?", then sure, he's been great.

Fair. He'd be truly awesome as an AHL D man, which is what he would be in a winning, non-budget organization.

Yeah, guys like him, Ekblad, Seth Jones, would be way better off in the AHL. Said no one ever.

And how old is Ekblad? Not throwing Ceci under the bus but if you ask "what more" there's your answer.

If the team were run as SSF wishes, our average age would be 35 and we'd never roster anyone under 29. And we'd trade all draft picks and kids for more old guys. There's the winning recipe!

I just don't think our "young guns" are as high a calibre as some think.
And while I don't think a roster with an average age of 35 assures success, I suspect that our current crop of youngsters will get better (dramatic pause) with age.

How's this for calibre? Tell me if I am off the mark.
Zib will be a #1 center by default. #2 center depending on who we draft this year
Stone and Hoffman have the makings to contribute offensively but will never be dominant top-three players. Solid top-six players
Lazar is going to be a solid two-way player. Third line center.
Cowen and Ceci will be a solid, defensive oriented 3-4 pairing with limited offensive upside
Chiasson is a top nine power forward - probably a 3rd liner at best
Lehner will be a 1b
