That would give them only two righties.

Methot-Karlsson
Cowen-Ceci
Wiercioch-Borowiecki

That third pairing will leave you tongue-tied, but against an offensive team like Dalas do you really want Borowiecki playing his wrong side with Wiercioch?

Might as well forfeit. Laugh1 Laughing3

The side BoroCop plays on is irrelevant, since his game is all about lowering the BOOM.

Maybe Cameron isn't as big on righty-righty/lefty-lefty as MacLean was? Maybe they are trying to see if some guys are capable of playing the right side in a pinch? Having a Dman who can play both sides effectively is a big time luxury, again it's one of the hardest things in hockey to do effectively. Only the people who have never laced up a pair of skates and played the position are the ones that think it's easy to do or completely over blown. Not saying other people don't get it like yourself, I am suggesting that the people who put little to no weight into it have absolutely no idea wtf they are talking about when it comes to playing that position.

Everything changes on D when you switch side. The angles, the coverage, the shoulder you hit with to "lower the BOOM", stick work, everything.

Or, more likely, that Wiercioch/Borocop pairing is the one that is scratched tonight, and Phillips/Gryba are playing.

Play the 6 best dmen IMO. Methot, Karlsson, Cowen, Ceci, Boro and Gryba. Done and done.

Pfft. Play the six leftiest dmen. Methot, Cowen, Wiercioch, Borocop, Phillips, and call up Claesson.

Yeah, that too. The left-cheek-sneak becomes the right-cheek-sneak.

Did he or didn't he:
http://www.thehockeynews.com/blog/fun-with-semantics-did-jason-spezza-request-a-trade/

According to sources close to Spezza, the scenario went down a little differently than it’s being portrayed. In his exit interview with Murray, Spezza laid his cards on the table. He told Murray that if the Senators were intent on a quick rebuild and were in the acquisition mode in terms of bringing in top-end talent, he wanted to be a part of it. But if the plan was to tear down the roster and rebuild the team with young players and draft picks, it might be best for the organization to maximize his value now and that he would not stand in the way of a deal involving him, provided it was not to one of the 10 teams in his modified no-trade clause.

But at no time did he make any demands, according to those close to Spezza.

Bottom line is he needed to go from the team's perspective. But let's put an end to the BS that he demanded to be traded.

Doesn't matter anyway, he was once exciting and fun to watch, but that's a long distant memory and this organization is much better without him IMO.

Pretty much end of story for me personally.

I don't think anyone as ever said Spezza demanded a trade... I know for a fact he has asked for one but demanded is a strong word. Like here, Spezza asked to be traded because of the circumstances not to mention the obvious bias from those "close to Spezza". Lets not make Spezza out to be some holier than tho type of player.

I do hope that this doesn't turn into a boo'ing fest though. That would be unfortunate.

I have said Spezza asked to be traded and he did. That has not only been confirmed by Murray it has been confirmed by Spezza's people now.
