He is in a good situation in Nashville for sure but like Nashville, Ottawa is kind of a laid back town and a good spot for a guy to just settle down. We'll see though, if he isn't resigned going into the off season I think Ottawa could make a play and they should if everything is on the up and up. For his sake I hope it is.

I just don't see Ottawa adding a veteran C. It would be a waste of time for the player (see Legwand) and the organization, which seems to want to stick with the same players in the same spots even though it doesn't work.

Tough news for Cornwall which has a distribution centre for Target. Although the WalMart one seems to keep growing all the time.

Couldn't be happier about that in my line of work.

Yah, not sure the fit is there either... fact is Ottawa has to cut the dead wood before they add anything else.

I would like to see a 'C' who is in their prime show up. Looking at the D and C positions in Ottawa, they have 13 guys signed but Methot is the only one in his prime.

To bring in a player in their prime, it will have to happen at the draft. Those players are not available at the deadline. Sell what makes sense at the deadline and use those assets, or others, around the draft to bring in an impact player. With the CDN dollar tumbling, it is not hard to see teams like Philly and Chicago being in real trouble to get under the cap, which is shrinking by the day.

Vermette should come cheap. I'd do that and re-sign him.

I'm guessing you're not a toddler working in a factory making cheap goods for North American consumers to earn cigarette money?

With Sears apparently on life support all we'll have as far as "choice" when it comes to department stores is WalMart.

It might be up to a company that understands Canadian retail isn't American retail to start a new store from scratch like Loblaw Inc. or Canadian Tire.

Terrible trade. We get stuck with mike smith(who could probably rebound well in Arizona under Tippett but I'd rather not put someone else in front of Lehner and you basically traded for a UFA who we won't pay what he wants to resign

You little hooligans these days with your internets and things. Are you even old enough to have a credit card?
