they're not gonna trade Lehner
GM Hockey

Bobby ryan was a big move by him, so was turris but what we gave up for them were unproven commodity.silf being the main one that was of risk ad that seems to have worked out well. this is ultimately a bigger dilema. it's trading a guy that has proved himself and going with the unproven (yes and no, argument cab be made) guy. it's a much bigger risk. is BM capable of making that move? it's the kind of move that make or break GM's. y made the right move in montreal(even if at the time i believed they were wrong), now it's that tme here. we'll never know for sure but Lehner was rumoured to be involved in that trade that would of brough Rick Nash to Ottawa. is he capable of leaning to push out lehner? or will he sit on him for much longer? agree this has to get done before the start of next season. one way or another, i just see it as a major loss if it's lehner we trade.NEELY wrote:Flo The Action wrote:No no no... You do not trade Lehner. At the point we're at that is just stupid. We're 2-3 years from really competing and chances are that Anderson's play is only gonna deteriorate as his contract comes to an end. Is that what we want or do we wants team that grows together? No no no. You trade Anderson this year or in the summer. I'm with Neely, enough of this Dung. He's not getting any start how can you expect any consistency. If there's a point when Murray has to realize the gig is up it's now. You make the best of a bad situation and make some deals and prepare your players for next year and give playing time to the youth. Any other way and you're being short sited.
Honestly, it comes down to one thing with Lehner and Murray. You either believe in him or you don't, it's that simple. If you do then show it, roll with him, and give him the net. If you don't, trade him. What you or I think is of so little importance we won't discuss but that's the simple question Murray has to answer.

McKenzie: Los Angeles Kings are looking at Marc Methot and Andrej Sekera, among others, as possible defensive additions given Slava Voynov's situation. wrote:
