Anderson, Cowen and then either Pageau + pick(which that's debatable, dallas' second or if you finish higher then 8th then maybe it's our 1st.)
that's why if pageau can come up here and perform he might attract some attention. I bet they ask for lazar.

that's two NHL players that can help them and a prospect + a high pick. if you look at recent packages, you haven't seen monster returns in a while. even seguin had multiple pieces going each way. i bet they don't trade hall though, they'd be stupid to, unless he quietly asked to be moved.

If anything Edmonton adds a goalie out of Buffalo. We don't have anyone near ready to back up Lehner if he were to get hurt.

I don't think the season is lost yet either but things are starting to look pretty bad. We really need to stop mucking around with these healthy scratches and start beefing up our roster with players who can contribute.

We'd get Benjamin Scurvy Scrivens in a package coming back to backup The Lehner.

Coach Cameron has confirmed that Phillips and Pageau will be in the lineup tomorrow vs the Devils.

And Matrix will start.

Wierchioch doubtful. I imagine Greening comes out.

are you insane? ya i'm sure that would make it happen but why on earth would we do that. we need turris. no way.... cowen pumpel and a 1st i would consider.  then again we better be able to replace cowen somehow...

lol Turris wouldn't get Hall and we would do that in an instant.
I don't think we would. i think you're underrating a guy like Turris. I don't think he's easily replaceable. He's struggling a bit right now but once we have zib operational at full capacity this could be a filthy 1-2 punch down the middle. sure Hall is good but not at that price. IMO, you try something with Anderson and cowen(i don't like it but you got to give to get) it fills two of their needs. you add pageau to that as they are desperate for a good C. hopefully between now and june Pageau gets a good chance to prove himself.

Good to see a promising youngster like The Philler get a shot.

You find a way to replace him if you're getting a young star like hall in return. He is elite. Cowen. Pageau , and anderson isn't going to get you Hall. Sens would be fine with Zibanejad and Lazar down the middle anyway. Turris is a good player but not irreplaceable and not off limits if you can acquire a star.

I have my doubts on whether Lazar can do that. in my eyes at the very best he tops out as a 2nd line center, ( still think he might end up being a very good 2rd line center with his mix of grit and a decent scoring touch on an offensive 3rd line). he does bring some intangibles, i'm not saying he's bad at all but i'm not sure i'd like to go in with that 1-2 combo. maybe if we were two years down the road but not now. no way, way too soon to pull that kind of trigger with so many unknowns.

The now is irrelevant. You'd be getting hall for years and years to come. And imo it's not a stretch at all to say Lazar will be better than Turris, he's already as good defensively most likely. In fact I know he will be better and zibanejad probably will be as well.

Saying you wouldn't trade Turris for hall is akin to saying you wouldn't trade Turris for a guy like Kessel imo.

Yeah, Turris is replaceable if it meant getting a guy like Hall.

actually i wouldn't want kessel in the locker room, the guy comes off as a total Richard and problematic. do I like his skills? sure, but the attitude that comes with it is terrible. there's too many parts to that deal going out that harms us. you'd have to secure another top top 6 center if you were to part with turris. I still believe turris is a guy that can take you far. his attitude seems amazing, he's struggling right now but it ain't for lack of effort. there's some question marks about Hall surfacing, the guy seems to have an overinflated ego, could be problematic. i swear there's no reason to go as high as to include turris. you add different players, you make it work but not that deal.

Turris and Kessel are pretty similar in terms of personality.

Here's a better example, it's like saying you wouldn't trade Turris for seguin.

You're overrating Turris IMO. Anyway there's nothing we have that edmonton would want besides maybe Lehner and Lazar and our 1st.

Have you ever heard Turris give an interview? Theyre both quieter guys who aren't going to yell and scream and fire up teammates. I'm not sure why you're laughing.

I think Anderson, Cowen and next years first would work. Perhaps Lehner Cowen and a 2nd this year.

because ive seen kessel blow off everyone, come to training camp out of shape and blow it off. I can't remember the quote but he pretty much said the coach wasn't going to say anything. the guy has attitude and i don't think it's well received. Turris is quiet but always positive, the guy is well liked in the dressing room and never takes the foot off the gas. big difference between the two. turris is trying to be all he can be, kessel is half of what he could be.. and sadly, never be.

Hall is being accused of being uncoachable. That's just what we need.
