It sucks, but this is exactly what's going to happen. I don't see any kind of trade taking place personally. You might see greening go through re-entries and then get picked up.

We'd better get the most draft picks from this year's draft since it looks like a very deep crop. We need more top line talent in the farm.
Wiercioch could get a 3rd back. Never know what a trade up can do to you (i.e. 2008 15th)

He needs to learn playmaking at NHL speed, not develop his defensive game or offensive flair at a slower pace.
It might help the team short term but not him at all.

Could be, but if Methot comes back and Boro is still out then we're still at 23 (has to be active roster, right?) And I'd still say that, with Cowen's uneven play, and Phillips' advancing years, it's not a bad idea to keep an extra leftie (again, that's if Boro is not back). I didn't notice, did Wiercioch play the third pairing with Gryba last game? If not, why not try him out there, get his confidence back playing along side someone rugged and out there against the third/fourth liners.

I agree, Prags. Why wait until he comes alive and then send him down. Wrong message and wrong time.

IMO, they did this right. Give him time to get his feet under him and start scoring. Now that he's done that people want to send him down? That's upside down.

Colburn got a 4th so... and this draft is deep with top end talent and it will be found in all rounds. Don't think he gets more than a 4th... that's a stretch IMO as well.
